Sigh. As expected, we are back to square one. I mean the ML has a foul mouth and he really needs to start filtering his thoughts and think twice before talking. No one should be subjected to this cruelty, let alone his girlfriend.

On the other hand, Flora is plainly stupid. The fact the she thought that Alex might be trust worthy and respects her. Did we forget how they treated her when she switched to their team. They are the most opportunistic type of people which would probably jeopardise her growth and promotion. She probably was not planning on going with him but Luke just pushed her to say it that way because oh his cruel words.

This is a great example why you should not be in a relationship with you your superior. The whole issue with switching jobs and conflict of interest. Such a pain.

It depends actually. In today’s episode, his remarks were genuinely funny but occasionally his remarks can be hurtful to those close to him, especially in serious situation or situations that require honest answers. But yeah, he really made me laugh today.

Okay. Episode 12 was absolutely perfect. Too good that it feels like the calm before the storm. The FL is more comfortable saying whatever in her mind, laughing and joking. The ML showed big development. He is definitely more honest about his feelings. The desperate face when he asked her whether she meant it when said that she wanted to end the relationship while on his knees was everything. Also, asking her not to break up. That was really good and I can see why she changed her mind. So beautiful but we all for sure know what’s coming in the future.

Yes, he was showing some develoment but in a way that was not visible to the FL. Like confirming his relationship status to his friends. I think they both were not communicating at all. Even the FL was not truthful. She was upset then jumped to let him know to make her aware if he is interested in someone else (without adding any context). Did not explain why she was feeling that way or why was she upset. Although, I do understand where she is coming from. She has no trust in his commitment. She was also present when he commented about women being clingy etc and I am pretty sure she does not want to come across that way to him.

But honestly, both have to work on their communication as they are both at faults this episode.

Just finished watching today's episode. I must say, both of them messed up and I think Luke is trying more this episode. He admitted to his friends that he has a girlfriend which is a major thing. I think he is too prideful to communicate and she is too doubtful to communicate which is causing the problem they have at the moment. I think I like how they showed more of the ML thinking process this episode which already shows that he is deeply in love with her like how he is constantly checking his phone, eager to return earlier and not enjoying his trip.

Omg, I really love this drama. One of the best I have watched and the ML was such a green flag to be honest. Even the sport aspect of the show was entertaining.

I absolutely like the girlies support. Love it. However, I am not a big fan of the housemate. I think she gives a lot of unsolicited advice which put the FL in a questionable position. Especially her relationship with her superior at work. Rest of women, brilliant! Especially her co-worker, very supportive and kind.

I am absolutely with you about the housemate. Absolutely idiot, spouting nonsense. I have literally mentioned it in my previous comment that if she really cared about the FL, she would not have given her these out of touch of advice. If I were her friend, I would have been extremely worried about the fact the he is her superior at work and about her safety given how inexperienced she is. It is beyond me how she thinks this is okay. I want only the best to my friends and will literally fight for that even if they get angry with me.

I also agree with the power dynamic issue. I agree, it is a major element of why I think this relationship is not okay. I mean he is her direct supervisor, of course a lot of question marks will be in place if they are ever discovered. It has also impacted the dynamic of the relationship, as you can see, it feels like a sheep in wolves den. She is always hesitant, looks scared and not being herself as appose to her cheerful self when she is with her friends. This makes the whole thing feel wrong to be honest.

Based on the conversation with his friend in earlier episodes, he likes to keep things casual and had few relationships. When it turns into something serious, it is a turn off for him. It might be because he did not find the right one and never truly loved any of his previous girlfriends. Who knows.

Really? I mean I have not read the novel but he still seems like a major jerk to me. He is way too pushy and manipulative, take advantage of her attraction towards him to basically have a sexual relationship with him. He said he wanted a casual thing not dating.

She is young, freshly graduate, who should be enjoying normal and non toxic dating to be honest. She is feeling hesitant because she is attracted to him but does not want to be hurt. She has tried to put a stop at it in the beginning but he kept crossing boundaries despite her trying to avoid him and him not wanting anything serious. I honestly feel for that poor thing. I can see from the introduction in episode one is that we are in a ride for a toxic relationship that would probably negatively impact her.

I mean if he is worse in the novel and he was portrayed the same in the drama, I would not have tolerated the show at all.

I was just going to reply to the original comment but where does it say he wanted an actual relationship with her? He said he wanted to have a casual thing with her. How is that supposed to make her feel any better. She is feeling hesitant and going back and fourth because he does not offer a secure relationship and she cannot push him away because she is attracted to him and he is way too pushy for someone who wants something causal. All that can contribute to her feeling like she needs to hide the relationship from close friends and being fearful of losing her job. All this lead to what you described a toxic relationship so I absolutely agree with you.

There was one comment today who said that. I think it was the fact that she was giving the ML mixed singles. I have to admit that I have not watched episode 10 yet so not sure if anything changes but until now, I totally see her side and I would have probably done the same thing.

I have also to add that he is obviously falling in love but not communicating it. He is worried about getting too invested which is also an issue.

I have only watched episode 9 so don’t quote me for it as I might change my opinion after episode 10. I am surprised about the people saying the FL is being indecisive and more red flag. I have just finished episode 9 and I absolutely see her point of view. He does not seem committed and literally said, he wanted a causal thing and let’s be real, she is not a causal relationship material.

His whole attitude and behaviours don’t show any potential commitment or secure relationship. He did not show her that he would be safe and cherish their relationship so I absolutely understand her hesitation and her conditions. She is definitely attracted to him because if she wasn’t, she would have cut him off immediately as he is not a secure relationship candidate in anyone eyes. Will check episode 10 then update this if it changes my mind.

Chinese drama is at it again. Romantising overtime and lack of work and life balance loool. I always find it funny. Like how do they live and raise families. Aside from that, the drama is exciting and actors are doing great job!

I have just finished episode 5. Obviously, the ML is not that decent of a person, he is probably morally gray and the FL seems to recognise it. What bothers me is the new friend of her. Her advice was stupid and made the FL hurt more because she was concluding that they would be together. I think she should actually advocate more about the importance of protecting oneself and recognising bad guys from good guys. I was just thinking, I would never push my friend to confess to her boss! And especially a person with messed up love life because I love my friends and wish all the best in this world. So basically not fan of the second FL

Genuine question, what did you like about it? It started okay but then I kept getting second hand embarrassment for Yumi through most episodes except for the last two. The ML has already established boundaries and she kept ignoring them which was giving desperate. The ML was too stern and emotionless at the start that I didn’t understand how he suddenly fell for Yumi when there was no indication of it in earlier episodes. The only thing I have enjoyed were the cells.

I agree. No chemistry. And Yumi was portrayed awfully this season. I had extreme second embarrassment from her behaviours and she was extremely desperate honestly. The ML was not likeable whatsoever. I mean he was literally ignoring her for the whole season then he suddenly likes her. Made no sense. Big pass for me.

I am fully convinced that those who liked this season did not watch the previous seasons hahaha (not trying to be mean I swear). But honestly, it felt like watching a different show from season 1 & 2. It lacked the charm and honestly Yumi liking the ML made no sense. I will be honest, the ML might be a lovely person in real life but I have never been fan of his acting. Very stiff in most of what I watched him in. I did not feel his chemistry with Yumi whatsoever. I really really wanted to like it but honestly it felt very lacking compared to other seasons. I know that some of you would have different opinions but that is genuinely how I felt.
