Well guys I read your various comments and based on what I have read I decided to give it another go and I’m glad I did. This is no romanticized view of life. This is the raw reality. I’m on ep 6 and I have experienced or know someone who has experienced each life situation. Watching it bought back painful memories. But it also reminded me that one can find joy again. One can experience happiness again. So thanks to you guys I’m giving it another try. Take care and be safe.
Just to clarify something below - the rating for this show on MDL is pretty low and is one of the most unfair…
I agree which is why I don’t put much credence in MDL ratings. Out of curiosity I listed 23 of the most talked about BLs for 2022 and their ratings on MDL. Triage was the highest at 8.5 . Eternal Yesterday was 7.9 and War of Y was 7.3 which I feel is way too low. I have read comments where the person deliberately scored a series low because they didn’t like the actor or how their favorite bl actor was portrayed. Nothing to do with the quality of the storyline or how the actors played their respective roles. So sometimes I won’t even look at the ratings until I’ve actually seen two or three episodes.
I started watching this because of Kim Woo Bin and the stellar reviews. I’m just on ep 4 and there have been some bright moments but so far it’s left me feeling very depressed. I guess I should have taken a hint from the title Our Blues. Life is hard. I get that. I’ve lived it. And I suspect at the end our couples will find peace and happiness. But do I feel up to going through all the emotional turmoil and angst. This is a stellar cast and the storyline is a good one but this may not be my cup of tea.
So far so good. Can’t believe I’m seeing some of my favorite actors in the same project together. Just seeing Perth again has brightened my day. Looking forward to how it all unfolds.
In my country menstrual cycle’s products are very expensive, so that scene made total sense to me and I liked…
Thank you for your response. As I stated maybe it’s a generational thing, maybe it’s just me..it’s just my own personal perspective. I was a teenager once too but in my time no matter how much you liked a boy you never made the first move. I still feel that way…lol…I don’t apologize for my own personal views…glad you enjoyed those scenes and I respect your sharing the information about personal female products. I’m sure there will be other moments like that in the future episodes. Lol..I’ll cover my ears and eyes but for now my intention is to watch the entire series. Take care and stay safe.
You're not alone. I find the discussion about the romance ridiculous. What I love is the business aspects
I certainly hope so. Look at the most powerful families in the world today and pay attention to the family dynamics. I watched the events around the late queen of England’s funeral and the strategic placement of certain family members. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall inside those palace halls. This series is fictional but we know it’s interwoven with actual historical facts. That’s what I find so amazing.
I like New a lot as an actor. He is 29 now, I'm sorry to see him still making juvenile garbage like this. He needs…
Although I personally love New and I think this role fits him I must say I had the same thought. I feel the same way about Earth. Yes they are youthful looking and able to pull off roles as students but I want to see them in more mature roles. New was the ml in I Need Romance and I really enjoyed it. This is not a bl and as the doctor he will get to show what a great comedic actor he is. I am rooting for him.
I am a big fan of New and Sing so right now I’m all in. It has an interesting start. However, there were times when I thought I was watching a sex education documentary…and I know I’m from another time but who brings a diaphragm to a party. And the whole tampon campaign made me cringe. I do love strong females but these females seem so thirsty. Maybe it’s a generational thing. If so it’s still not enough to turn me off. I love the grandpa and that scene at the end where he’s doing a vaginal exam was hilarious. Looking forward to next week.
I’m glad they changed grandpa character and other things. Drama is way more spicy 🌶️ I was so bored reading…
Thank you. I hope that stick to this kind of ending. I’m just a sucker for the villain getting what’s coming to them. That was the beauty of Vincenzo. I hope this rating goes up.
This is a cute series. One of the high points for me is the same sex parents and the acceptance of Nhai’s father. No homophobic drama from the father and a same sex couple in a loving long term relationship with a happy well adjusted son they both raised. Sends a positive and hopeful message . That’s enough to get on my rewatch list. Happy Holidays to all. Take care and stay safe.
This episode was just ok for me. I really love the actors and I so want to love this but it seems to have reached its climax. It seemed as if people were reading their lines but I couldn’t detect any emotion. You spend so much time searching for your love and all you get is a smile and you’re left alone in her brothers room. You and your partner have been together for awhile and he constantly breaks dates. Somebody should at least throw something or yell or act annoyed. Maybe next week. And does the mother expect her son to take online classes forever and it just be the two of them forever. The best parts of this episode for me was the random girl on the motorcycle ( first time I’ve seen not a hint of a helmet). At least she showed some real emotion. And the same sex couple that are getting married was a breathe of fresh air. All in all this feels like we are headed to that moment where couples realize it’s been nice knowing you but remember me. Somebody please tell me I’m all wrong and am totally off base.
I just binged up to the released episodes & just WOW. I’m so hooked. & what up with all the hate against FL?…
I just don’t get it either. And it’s not just this series. I was just reading the comments on another series which is also doing well. But it seems like a lot of the negative comments are directed at the mls and their other projects . Give it a rest. The one thing I’m sure of is for the most part these actors and actresses do not read my drama list. What they do value is the box office and the opinion of their fan base. They also put great value in the opinion of other professionals in the film industry. Ultimately they must believe in themselves and those who do never give up. This won’t stop the bad mouthing and bashing. I’m just exercising my right to choose to express my opinion. Take care and stay safe.
