When I watch a Japanese BL I know I’m in for a rollercoaster ride of emotions. They know how to dig deep into the inner soul of a character and pull back the most vulnerable parts. They don’t sugarcoat how difficult it can be to expose ones insecurities. The good news is you never have to worry about the destination. The Japanese know how to get you there and when you arrive you will be thankful for the journey. This goes on my rewatch list . The ending was perfection.
I am really enjoying Phap and Maze. They make me smile and right now I just need a smile. I also enjoyed the obvious reference to fanfare and the downsize to constant shipping . Yacht is doing a great job and it’s good see some of my favorite actors from other bl series.
I stopped watching reality shows years ago. However this one seemed intriguing and I took a chance. Overall I found it fun to watch. The guys all seemed genuine and were very respectful of one another. There was none of the toxicity and backstabbing that turned me away from reality shows. The scenery was breathtaking and of course the guys were all awesome. I really wish they would do a special follow up. I wonder if Nick got together with the guy who confessed to him. And of course I wonder if Chudjane and Mick are still together. Most times they don’t and that’s understandable because reality tv is really not reality in my opinion.
I just hope Weir is finally over Jean. Believe me there are people in the world like Jean. They are so full of themselves. Lol. The baker boys once again prove what true friendship and love is all about.
Lol..that Jean is something else…and he has no shame which I think does reflect how many feel in today’s world. Also, the issue with the mom. Again it happens. I still see the focus being on the four and their continued growth as a group and as individuals.
Loved this. The actors were so good! Miscues and missed signals were depicted with comedy and just the right balance of drama. This is an enjoyable light-hearted bl with a nice ending.
I just saw the first episode and I’m in to the end. I must admit whenever I see Tay, Foei, and Joss I know I am in for a treat. I just finished watching Tay in Remember You and he was awesome. This has a Manner of Death vibe which I love. GMMT has a series for each day of the week so this works out perfectly for a binge watcher like me.
I am loving this series. The cast is awesome and each storyline really presents real life scenarios which we don’t see often. I can’t wait to see the boxer’s story and then watch how the younger versions deal with their situations.
Korean one was not the original one 😭There is a Taiwanese one (drama) which was released in 2001.Also there…
Thank you I see the various names in the notes. Meteor Garden 2018 is on Netflix so I’m watching that first ep 1 now. I also see where a 2001 version is on YouTube. Again, thank you.
I will watch but I admit it actually motivated me to rewatch the original which is a classic. So I watched ep 1 2021 and then rewatched ep 1 2009. It’s interesting to me to see what changes were made to coincide with today’s values. Next week I’ll do the same with ep 2. The best part for me in ep 1 are the last four minutes. I was literally shouting that’s how you handle a bully.
I saw it on YouTube. some comments say it’s a fake. If it is it’s a bad joke. When I first saw the picture of Nanon in a hospital bed I thought of his character in Remember You. He has a minor role in that series and he does die so the person who made this could have edited scenes from different series. If they did this is one sadistic person.
Well they are already showing a trailer for Season 2 and guess what… Pran dies and you see Pat putting flowers on what looks like a coffin. Sorry but I’ve seen too much death and heartache over the past years so if this is really where they see these two headed I’m getting off this train. Take care everyone and stay well.
I am loving this. These four boys have stolen my heart. Each one is so vulnerable but also has a quiet strength which shows up whenever one or the other needs support. On the surface it may not appear well connected but I find it has a real important message about family and love.
