This is awesome! Acting, storyline and soundtrack really well executed. But, i see maybe this is more appealing…
Yes this is some real grownup mess but as much as I hate to say it it gives a very realistic portrayal of the life some people live, not by coercion but by choice. This is no fantasy or make believe depiction of life . It had my attention from start to finish. At no time did I say no that doesn’t happen, no one would do a real friend like that, no one would be that thirsty for a man or a woman, etc.
Loved this series. I binge watched all eight episodes. Sue got exactly what she deserved. The acting was exceptional. I can’t wait to watch Season 2. The women took center stage in this thriller and did not disappoint.
Could I ask1. Who are the gay characters?2. What type of storyline do they have. Many thanx in advance x
Khaotung/Paul at 15 and Kob Songsit/Paul at 55. The older Paul has always been in the closet and repressed his true feelings toward a male friend. As the now 15 year old he finds himself in a world where attitudes have started to change. Will he finally be able to live his truth? Will he find the love he has always longed for ? Both actors are doing a fantastic job in my opinion.
This series certainly knows how to keep my interest. The revelation about Eve’s family was a surprise but I like how it was handled. And it looks like everyone is in the game. Chimon in blond hair looks so hot and wow had he developed into a handsome hunk. Each episode brings a new revelation. At this point I don’t even believe Mim is dead. This may be her own way of escaping Gwi. Either way I’m actually enjoying watching.
What can I say but this series is really getting better and better. It deserves a higher rating. The icing on the cake was. seeing Earth/Mix and inserting the bl research into the storyline. What a great way to handle past and present perspectives surrounding same sex relationships. We also see more angst and drama coming dealing with issues each one is facing. What a gem!
I am so amazed and excited about this series. I think the bar continues to be raised. It speaks to how discrimination affects other groups and does so without sounding preachy. The acting of the main cast continues to exceed my expectations. I love it when I see growth and our main leads have kicked it up a notch or two. They have my attention. I don’t want to miss a thing. I look forward to the next episode.
I disagree. Mira seems older and more worldly. This Ren seems more innocent to me. I don’t get a romantic connection. It feels more like a crush an 18 year old has on a young teacher.
Lol.. I am amazed at how many of us are responding on this day. Where I’m at it’s Christmas Day. I have to take my roast out the oven and get ready to attend Christmas dinner with family but I had to watch F4 first. Take care everyone and stay safe.
It will be April before this is over! Where I’m at we will have gone through two seasons. I think most people are having a lovefest with Bright/Win and the actor playing Ren. I know the storyline. I’m really interested in how this will end. I may just wait until April and binge watch all 16 episodes.
Couple of criticisms: Firstly, the pace is way too fast for my liking. I think Thyme transitioning to the attraction…
I agree about the fast pace. This is what happens when you take a series which has had as many as 50 episodes in one version and 25 in another and you break it down to 16 shortened episodes. Not much time for real character or plot development.
Boys Over Flowers 2009 was 25 ep, Meteor Garden (2018) was 50 ep. I was wondering how they would handle this version in 16 ep. If you’ve watched the other versions so far they are doing a nice job condensing the storyline with some obvious updates to adhere to the change in social trends. So far they’re sticking to the original storyline. I only wish they would have given us 2 episodes a week instead of 1 or just made it a two hour movie. But I understand it’s about making as much money as possible.
and your mom works for the production company, right? lol
Lol…I wish.. my beloved mom passed away over 20 years ago. I have lost so many over the past two years I just want to watch something that makes me smile and this makes me smile. Take care and stay well.
When I watch a Japanese BL I know I’m in for a rollercoaster ride of emotions. They know how to dig deep into the inner soul of a character and pull back the most vulnerable parts. They don’t sugarcoat how difficult it can be to expose ones insecurities. The good news is you never have to worry about the destination. The Japanese know how to get you there and when you arrive you will be thankful for the journey. This goes on my rewatch list . The ending was perfection.
I am really enjoying Phap and Maze. They make me smile and right now I just need a smile. I also enjoyed the obvious reference to fanfare and the downsize to constant shipping . Yacht is doing a great job and it’s good see some of my favorite actors from other bl series.
I stopped watching reality shows years ago. However this one seemed intriguing and I took a chance. Overall I found it fun to watch. The guys all seemed genuine and were very respectful of one another. There was none of the toxicity and backstabbing that turned me away from reality shows. The scenery was breathtaking and of course the guys were all awesome. I really wish they would do a special follow up. I wonder if Nick got together with the guy who confessed to him. And of course I wonder if Chudjane and Mick are still together. Most times they don’t and that’s understandable because reality tv is really not reality in my opinion.
I just hope Weir is finally over Jean. Believe me there are people in the world like Jean. They are so full of themselves. Lol. The baker boys once again prove what true friendship and love is all about.
