Acting is superb for all but this is dragging. I kept saying, get on the ship Thee, leave it behind, better chance…
I think it’s beautifully done. It’s different from the dramas set in current times. I feel like there is a certain reverence for the time period. I actually felt tears welling up in my eyes and a pang in my chest watching this episode. Great and Inn are amazing in this. Aou and Boom are very good too (but they always are); they give a bit of comedic relief in such a difficult story.
How can Mandee and Domundi put out things like this and The Next Prince and then things like The Middleman’s…
REALLY? Nobody liked The Next Prince? Sure it was a bit sugar coated and cringy at times but all Zee/Nu dramas are. They are just so pretty and have such great chemistry I guess I’m perpetually on a sugar high watching their dramas 🤣
This is so beautifully done I just can’t express how much I love it in words. I enjoyed Wandee Gooday immensely and felt like Great and Inn had amazing chemistry, but this is next level, I don’t usually like period Asian dramas but this is lovely.
Rewatching this again. I’m picking up things I didn’t notice the last time. Lots of symbolism; I just don’t know what it means lol. The mom is always in blue. Everything she wears, everything she is — even the birthday decorations were blue. Wang is always in black. He threw a bit of white in there but otherwise always dressed in black. In is always in green. Green shirt, green pants, even green slippers. What does it meeeeeeeean?!
Yeah the drama started out a bit wonky, and people said there were plot holes, this will explain EVERYTHING. And they deviated from the book a bit towards the end but it’s still amazing!
