Xu Wen said it was dirt, so it probably was just dirt from the fire. I don’t think the director chose violence… if it was violence he would’ve had him murdered or had Tian off himself. This was pure. He returned to the earth in the purest way; circle of life. What is sad is I think that the love that “could’ve been” between Qingtian, who had been mourning the loss of his comatose BF and Xu Wen, who was mourning the loss of a love for Qinglang which could obviously never happen, could’ve been beautiful. However, I think that this is the underlying message of the movie: be grateful for life, live, laugh and love to the fullest. Don’t wait for it to happen: find it.

WELL… I forgot that today was a new episode and came here first :| and I read the spoilers, so I was prepared. I was going to ask for a breakdown of what has occurred so far, but now I don’t think it’s necessary. This drama is a masterpiece. It’s so beautifully done and the cinematography is out of this world. I love the endearing love between Qinglang and Changyang. It’s authentic, it’s true and there’s no nonsense like they’re just “gay for each other,” for the sake of a country that is unaccepting. They are gay. They admit they’re gay. They love each other. Their love is enduring. It is the most real depiction of love I think I’ve seen in a BL. Sorry for the rant. I just love it. 🥲

Maybe it will inspire more people to seek out the original comic. It’s not exactly the same; they left some stuff out obviously and they also have to cram it into the time constraints of a series. AND they gave Pakin way more time than he had in the comic, but then it’s BOSS so I’m not complaining. I think they did pretty good so far. I just wonder HOW they filmed the NC scene. I wonder if they closed the set bcuz they were both OBVIOUSLY naked in it. Lots of trust between those two. I hope they will be an official couple and do more things together.
