A MULTI DIMESIONAL POTRAYAL OF A MAN'S MORAL DESCENSION This drama is defiantly ahead of its time, i can surely say its very meticulously written. it discusses the issues of human desperation, division in social class and the increase of value for material entities in this world very tactfully. As a person who is deeply enticed by human psychology, this drama was very gratifying for me. its an honest portrayal of a man who is so down on his luck, so deep in his obsession that he forgets about his attributes that make him human. Futaro is a very multidimensional character, this is one of those few dramas that make me feel conflicted about its titular character, for context i am a very morally rigid person, i don't like to see things from a deterministic point of view because i believe that we have a choice in this constricted world, we have little freedom to not to hurt anybody else, but this drama challenges my perception. the last episode was even more conflicting since i felt bad for futaro, even tho i shouldnt. i want to categorize futaro as a product of his environment, but his downright evil actions make me waver. Although, he was evil i still held onto the belief that under all of that moral degeneracy, he had somewhat of a conscience and that is why he killed himself but knowing how the character of futaro actually is, i know for sure his ass would deny it. i have a lot of thoughts regarding this drama which i cant write out in any comprehensible way, this drama has left me a bit depleted ngl because most of the characters seemed so human and rooted in reality, its hard to make sense of it all. this is one of the very few Japanese dramas that isn't outright crazy unrealistic or weirdly sexual either lmao. the acting was phenomenal, the director clearly had a vision and the cinematography was also great for its time. Overall a must watch for anyone who is trying to catch a break from all the superficial thrillers and romcoms of asian cinema ;)
Honestly the real villains are the Baek group... they adopted a child just to manipulate her and raise her with…
vro harin literally burnt children's hands for fun, is this the person you want to defend, is this the monster you want to call a 'victim', ridiculous. the mental maths yall do to justify charaters behaviours like there is an empath compedition going on, be for real-
It's like opening a box of assorted chocolates and finding out they forgot to include the mystery flavor. Surprise!…
Its just some lousy label, what it means that im sex repulsed individual, that dosent mean i see sex in a negative light tho. I am actually a neurodivergent person so if you piece 2 and 2 together i think it makes a whole lot of sense. Anyways, i dont really care for labels, asexual reddit has made asexuality lose its meaning tho, so im not that into microlabels if ykwim?
