Lol, the Moth fly mystery is fathomless, but I suspect Princess Yogan (king of England) is the final boss/main villain, almost every case has something to do with her in form or another. She was near/at the scene during the kid's nursery rhymes against Empress dowager, she was involved in the embroidery case and setting up of the FL, then she was targeted by the moth and she became victim (nobody suspected her), afterwards she asked FL sister out and then she was poisoned at her doorstep, she hated ML due to shen case and now judging from previews. She will force her daughter on ML, it makes zero sense why would you she does that. ML has atrocious reputation in the capital city, he hates princess and she knows this, he is married, everybody knows ML betrayed his father and accepted the confession and ministers hate him due to this. Why would anybody force ML to marry a member of royal household/Emperor half-sister? Unless she wants to break lead apart and derail the case investigation, make ML his son-in-law so that he can't turn around and accuse Princess Yogan and his own mother-in-law of the crime. It will also put ML fairly in her faction, I think Empress Dowager should interfere and cancel the edict, ML is head of Imperial/Palace guards responsible for young Emperor security....it doesn't make sense for him to pick any sides in this power struggle.

Dude was doing shaddy stuff and running the whole murder ring to reincarnate his Lil sister, so NO you are not wrong dude actually rebelled and if it wasn't for FL spying and informing Empress Dowager in time to send a very strong army there. He would have definitely rebelled !

First, ML didn't keep her in the house and made her act like Madam of the house. She is his principal wife and MADAM of the Shen Household, she should be in control of his finances, servants and everything. She handed the finances over to old SFL out of her own free will, and he wasn't doing it for the sake of investigation. ML hunches were right, and she was spying on him for prime minister factions. She was betraying him and looking for secret plans of Imperial guard deployment around Royal family (for which she visited pigeon shed but got caught by ML and he told her it isn't there). Secondly the problem with brothel scene was, there was no dead body inside, clues, culprit and anything there for FL to question or investigate. SML (he could have just gone in collected info and get out) just went there to collect information from his spy and hit on FL through his poetry, which he did. So, there was no investigation going on, that SML lied to FL and dragged her into a place...whose sole purpose is for people to go there and have sex. So, FL (scammed to go there, she loves ML deeply and will not cheat its a fact) went to the brothel (a palace whose sole purpose is to sell sex) with whole another dude, without informing her husband and as you saw situation nearly got out of control and she was about to be harassed by those guys but ML arrived and saved her. That's what wrong here.....she could have formed boundaries with SML (who is trying to break leads apart) and told him, No I am going into such a place unless there is a reason for me to go there (when there wasn't). This is coming after leads have cleared the air and they both know for a fact, they love each other.
That being said, I want you to understand "nobody hates FL here" cuz although she is ungrateful, reckless and lacks concept of boundaries, but she hasn't crossed any boundaries, definitely loves ML from get go, she realises stuff late but she stands with ML, fabulous investigator and person ML can rely on to save his neck. She is one of the better FL's we have gotten thus year along with Hua Zi and Yin Guo. We like her enough and that's why we are still watching this drama. There is no hate campaign going on against her here, some people are continuously trying to incite fan-wars and create chaos (with their multiple accounts) to make it seem like fanbases of other actress are attacking FL cuz of her age and trying to ruin her future. Ignore them cuz after ML upcoming self-scarfing divorce stupidity, things will heat up even more. His wife Consort Qun has already slept with SML and will commit paternity fraud now, I hope its a boy with white hair like SML and she gets caught !
I think SML is being scammed here, he wasn't poisoned by birth and woman in their country are poisoning their own sons to death to keep their daughters in power, whenever he is out of his home country his sickness disappears but whenever he goes back there. He becomes ill immediately, and I hope they shed light on this unknown disease and why it effects only one gender....I know he died in novel, but I want him to live here for good of his people and country by sharing power with his sister as either King or Prime minister. If its a poison, why can FL blood detoxify him and save his life and now we even have one mermaid roaming around and his family rare medicines can also be used to save his life. Dude needs to live, otherwise his people will be shambles and his sister will cause mayhem, war, destruction and much more.

ML literally invaded the ship and fought with guards, when he got to her FL passed out, after that he saved her, rushed her to doctor, stayed there, got justice for her by getting empress killed, now in another country trying to get justice for her. but when FL wakes up, SML was already there, and that annoying TML....SML was the one who saved her in the ship. While dude did bare minimum and kept her alive for the sake of his country cuz he knew if FL died in their ship, ML is going to annihilate their Donling country. I personally believe without SML talent in diplomacy, the country is not going to survive much longer after his death. That sister of his have wired feelings and attachments to ML and he was indeed right in one thing his sister has zero talent. I really hope we discover some hidden talent of mermaid tribe or FL blood can cure his poison and he lives long life and removes his trash mother from power.
