DBM is a grey character, he is not down to earth nor an upright person…His world revolves around him…his greed…
I know DBM is a morally grey character but that isn't my point to begin with. Inever said ABH's acting is bad either, right? I just find his acting is lacking subtlety/ nuance so he often came off as annoying with his smugness he often show in most of his role (not only as DBM). When pride =/= smug. Which's why I feel if other actors doing his role, they'll still manage to get my symphaty for his character (as it shd) since DBM is the main protagonist after all, which ABH can't do it for me.

Yeah, that's what I think too & I hate that. They relied too much on the artis popularity, selling CP, etc. You don't see this kind of treatment in Kdrama industries, almost all Kdrama have a fixed schedule to air, they only need to put a proper marketing job its needed, if it's bound to be popular then it will be, if it's not then it won't. Unlike C-ent who keep piling up their drama as a stock & only released them years later if the actor become popular, or only released them based on the actor's popularity rank, hoping to ride on their popularity bandwagon with a cheaper/ less marketing cost, a pretty cheap move tbh & yeah Tencent pretty often did this too so am talking about how C- ent industries work as a whole, something that I really disliked.

Idg your post either advising ppl to not get triggered when I think you're clearly the one who get triggered after seeing a bunch of ppl prefer/ recommending CL over ABP. At least they've watched both drama before making that statement so it's valid from their perspective & nothing is wrong w/ their statement, something you didn't do (watched both) before posting yours 😅
