Confession- I never really like Yoo Yoon seok before. For some reason I couldn't connect with his acting and also…
I feel the same about YYS. I've never liked him that much until now. I think it's PD Shin's magic TBH. It's the same with all the actors in Prison Playbook.
It's interesting. I'm not entirely convinced we are wrong because there are aspects to his behaviour that tell me there's something going on between them.
No rocks from me. ;)I think one needs to remember that they work together so she does know him on some level.…
Well, we have to agree to disagree I guess. I didn't see Episode 8 in the same light as you. I saw her as someone who was gutsy and level-headed. She took the initiative and then when she realised that he wasn't being straight with her, she moved on. We also saw her dealing with the drug addict pretty perceptively and even though he kicked up a stink, I don't think she was wrong in confronting him about his drug issue. The hospital didn't want a public relations issue blown up so they settled it quietly. Yes, he is probably behaving like an "ass" but he is a man in conflict with himself. And he's a manchild virgin. I don't expect much from him in the romance department. Besides people can't always control who they like and when to stop liking them.
For me this dynamic shows me aspects of his character as much as anything else. I don't watch this show purely for the romance. It's secondary to me. I am interested in the WinterGarden dynamic for what it tells me about Jeong-won as it does Gyeo-ul.
Obviously the show wants to do something with them. We don't have all the pieces of the puzzle yet so I'm happy to see where they go with this. There's plenty of time. Not everyone enjoys a whirlwind romance like Jun-wan.
I literally started crying for her at one point... It was pretty embarrassing XDAnd confused in what way?
Without pictures it is difficult. But if you remember the maggot scene. The two women that first examined the homeless man. One's a doctor and one's a nurse.
Ever since the drama introduced us of Gyeo Wool's crush on Jung Won, there has been something about their relationship…
No rocks from me. ;) I think one needs to remember that they work together so she does know him on some level. At least professionally. He is one of her supervisors. We don't see all of their work interactions on camera. It's true that they don't spend a lot of time talking personal stuff but you can learn a lot about a person by the way they work as well. But there are reasons why the show chooses to show her POV mainly in this dynamic.
As for the comment that it is one-sided. I certainly think there's enough there from Episode 2 onwards to think that there is something going on with Jeong-won with regard to Dr Long Winter. He does treat her differently which is interesting. The show is at pains to show that. We even know that he goes out with other female staff but prevaricated about his plans when she asked him out. I will also add that his wanting to be a priest is a large factor as to why the dynamic is what it is.
I myself believe that the writer is taking an entirely different approach with them particularly because he thinks he is headed for the priesthood.
In my opinion Dr. Jang going to die in the season final from man who hit him own sons so in next season Dr. Ahn…
That may be but why her? There must be a reason why she "has to" die? She's a really popular character so that seems to me unlikely. It's also not that kind of show.
The fact that the drama only had 12 episodes made a huge difference in terms of how disciplined the plotting and pacing were. For a show of this nature, it was the best possible ending we could have gotten. I loved how much HJ grew as a detective in this drama. He went from being a second-rate detective to a more resolute, wiser investigator with GH's help and influence. The two of them became a really great team.
I too wanted more overt romance in this drama but we did get some nice UST between the leads and an ending that suggests future possibilities.
All credit to the cast and crew for a great production. Everything about it sings out quality. I enjoyed every single moment of this relentless roller coaster ride.
