I signed up to this site just to say how much I'm enjoying this drama and Toby Lee's performance. I'd not heard of him before but he's terrific. He's certainly making the character his own within the Sherlock Holmes template/oeuvre. I'm also loving how the show meticulously deconstructs the cases.
One of my favourites this year. Great ending especially seeing XY's reaction. The highlight was discovering Chen Zheyuan. That kid is going places. His XY was a joy and delight to behold. This adaptation is one of the best I've seen in recent years and has one of the best endings from a C drama that I've seen.
Agree, I thought I was the only one who's shipping Ran Yan with Xiao Yu. Given that they don't have to many scene…
The problem I have with Su Fu is that he's purposefully or inadvertently wooing her under a cloak of deception. That's not going to end well surely. Sure he's something of a hottie and has got some moves but it doesn't take away from the fact that he's using her to achieve his mission in ways she probably wouldn't approve of. It's true that XS uses her too but he does it openly and the two are constantly negotiating and bargaining. He's an open book to a large extent and as far as their relationship is concerned, it's evolving. Moreover, they both challenge each other to be better... whether they know it or not. The show I think is also at pains to show that the foundations of RY and SF's relationship are rather shaky. As far as he's concerned, she doesn't have all the pieces.
