So am I the only one who has a nagging feeling that the director left some scenes on the cutting room floor?? maybe this will have an extended director's cut released later.

First of all they had enough story for 54 episodes max. They should have stayed with the theme that started the drama, i.e. sort of Slice-Of-Life-ish, instead of the usual boring business intrigue crap that was injected in the 3rd act.
It could actually been a good drama but was ruined by the usual lazy writing/production, like characters withholding info for the other person's sake, breaking up for the other person's sake, disapproval of marriage to inject fake conflict/drama, bringing in random characters to create conflict in the 3rd act.
The leads did not help, FL had the same startled/confused expression the entire drama. ML just looked goofy.

So the actor playing Gi Sik is yet again playing a kidnaper? I was surprised seeing him be comedic, I guess it was short lived.

A slice of life script requires very charismatic leads to pull off.

In non villain roles he always has a detached personality which is off putting to me. He seems like "I look good, now give me my paycheck".

News flash, you're appearance matters in casting for any role.
FYI: This is his first leading man role for a reason.

Extraordinary You and Find Me in Your Memory (goofy best friend), My Healing Love (goofy husband), he always has the same mannerisms even when trying to be serious Psychiatrist, also he has a weak goofy jawline, etc... I like Uhm Hyun Kyung and daily dramas with romance are few and far between so I will still give it a try.

The casting of ML has doomed this drama, he is bearable as a goofy best friend, to because I like FL, ooh well I guess I'll wait for her next drama if her carrier survives another flop.

I guess it should be good because Shin Hae Sun has not picked a loser to date.

Very interesting observation, I hope writers work that into the storyline because that will be next level storytelling with foreshadowing.

This show is very interesting and the script feels original and organic, I hope they don't ruin it with memory-loss or an episode 45-49 break-up, Korean dramas tend to ruin shows in the 3rd act to try and keep ratings high.
