just seen eps 13 & 14. I was confused w FL going back to high school. I thought at the start of the series…
This is what I’ve gathered from watching many dramas: a US 12th grader is equivalent to a Chinese 11th grader ( for lack of better term). Both are at the age to enter US & other western universities. Chinese 12th graders, are equivalent to US university freshmen. So being a Chinese 11th grader you can go abroad for university or go back for your senior year.
As someone that read the book, I do see some good points in the show’s interpretation. However, the relationships, between the characters, seemed to lack depth ( specifically, because in the book, each character connected to the FL has a background story, For example, her relationship with the ML and his half brother is developed in a way that feels deeper, even though she doesn’t know them well at this point) idk if that makes sense
I am all caught up. I didn't understand some of ep 30. One thing was the way the mother in law treated Zhao.
Well San Ye says she’s being salty because he wasn’t the one that arranged his marriage. In the book though MIL loves GJZ, she’s happy that her son found happiness.
Poor YX, that had to be the longest day ever. Loosing your love, coughing up blood, confronting your rival, being ordered to arrest your dad, getting slapped by your mom, and finally ending the day in a prison cell. Couldn’t even enjoy dinner 😭😭
YX : I heard you once became a widow before marriage. If being a widow is your habit then keep clinging to me
XQ: you inquired about me ? 🥰🥰
😂😂😂
