First of all, the drama didn't show that nari likes geonwoo first, so we can conclude that Seah and Geonwoo like…
Nari is so immature and just sounded like a teenage girl who is obsessed with arrogance. she is talking about betrayal, then what she did to hyeon is called what? friendship. people like her always tend to pretend to be loyal and honest meanwhile they tell lies and betrayal and in end they act like victims. I love the actress that she made me hate her character (that is what she supposed to do) overall an good show.

The drama , story and acting was all good i like it , just don’t understand what is the shaman man find out…
true, I felt that, there is no need for season 2 because in the drama, the plot strategies to take down Kwon are unplanned which made me anxious 😬 during the show. Which made them act hasty ( I do know that they happened in quick glance, but still, you know..) I too enjoyed the acting!

Hey, can someone drop in the comments if there are any specific trigger warnings for this show? I'm not in the…
I just completed the show. The scenes where they will sucid*e after 24hrs from the point when wish came true. when the character use k*ife to cut their throat, those are horrible dude. I was not able to watch them. beside that, there is nothing intense. I could say you might get frustrated with the plot so watch out for that, to understand the story, be patient and very focused on the plot 😂. enjoy watching! 😁

Title Cheer Up!
I watched this drama, five years ago and I still just couldn't be able to understand the ending. Like ML's father and FL's mother started dating, right? (correct me, if I forgot) so that basically make the FL and ML to be step siblings (yah.. I'm confused), but I enjoyed this drama so much.

As someone who watched PoB first, I have to disagree. Different viewers have different preferences and these two…
Hey, thank you for not taking my words in offense towards the character. Most of time. Whenever we post a comment like this, it usually causes war between POB fan and ADWAD fan. Only true drama watchers will try to understand on both sides and share their opinion. Well, I do like her acting so much, there are some funny moments where I cracked up so much. It just when it came to her feelings ( kinda like frustrated) because I wanted the ML to find happiness and peace and he can only be himself if she is around him. Thank you for being kind! 😊

As someone who watched PoB first, I have to disagree. Different viewers have different preferences and these two…
Hey, I get that you are not trying to argue with me and are just sharing your opinion. When I said that ML is similar, I meant in his costume and the way he portrayed the character—kind of like identical twins with different personalities. The main reason I said people might not enjoy ADWAD if they watched POB first is because it will feel like you are seeing the same person in entirely different situation since the plots are different.

On top of that, FL is really annoying, which made ADWAD less enjoyable for me. I liked when you said, “Going in with the wrong expectations often leads to a less enjoyable watch in my experience.” This is what happened to me. That’s the reason I said, watch ADWAD before POB because ML character will get character development into a good way, where the people will respect him and love him in POB. As I said, I would have enjoyed ADWAD more if it had fewer episodes.

Can someone please spoil this for me: are there any misunderstandings to the point where the female lead will kill the male lead? I am a big fan of fantasy, and I love the trailer too, so I want to give it a try, but I’m a bit afraid of Bai Lu’s historical dramas because she’s such a great actress, and most of her roles in historical C-dramas are really heartbreaking—they make me cry all night. Please help me out, y’all, and I hate misunderstandings (they’re fine as long as they are resolved quickly), but if they are very extended, I’m afraid I will blow my nose until it gets red.

On A Dream within a Dream Apr 27, 2026
I would strongly suggest watching A Dream Within a Dream before Prisoner of Beauty. If you watch Prisoner of Beauty first and then move on to A Dream Within a Dream, I’m not sure you’ll fully enjoy this drama. The reason is that the male lead feels very similar in both dramas, and on top of that, the female lead in A Dream Within a Dream is quite annoying. If she likes him, she should just say it. The male lead constantly puts in effort, while she keeps turning him down just because of the d*mn truth that she’s a time traveler inside a novel. I honestly fast-forwarded through most of the episodes. I’m honestly a big fan of the time travel genre, but I felt like 40 episodes for this drama was too long and dragged out. I would have enjoyed it more if it had been condensed to around 24–30 episodes.

I truly loved Prisoner of Beauty because, after watching historical C-dramas for a long time, you start to develop a strong instinct for wanting both leads to be intelligent and cool. When I first started watching C-dramas, I preferred stories where the male lead saves the female lead from every situation. I’d still enjoy that kind of plot sometimes, but now I prefer female leads who are intelligent and strong. I love it when they’re physically strong, but also mentally strong too—able to handle situations on their own.

In Prisoner of Beauty, the female lead is truly “beauty with brain”—she absolutely nailed the role. And obviously, the male lead aced his role and left no crumbs; both performances were neck and neck.

After watching dramas like The Double, Who Rules the World, Ancient Love Poetry, Rebirth for You, Love Like Galaxy, and Legend of the Female General, my preferences have definitely shifted in that direction.

**Note: This is just my opinion, not directed to anyone who loved ADWAD over POB**

1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together3)is there any breakup?…
1. Yes, there will be triangle love, but after their first night FL will try to push ML towards the "original heroine" of the novel.
2. Around ep 1-2, after their first night, ML is already fallen in love with her, but for our FL it is around 5-6. They mutually love each other in ep 7.
3. There will not be any actual break up, but FL will try to run away and ML will find her, both happens in ep 9
4. Yes, it is a very happy ending with 3 boys and 3 girls as their children and obviously, the chemistry is on Fire.
If you want more spoilers, ready my review for this drama on my profile. Hope you enjoy the show :)

These are mostly people new to Chinese dramas as we cdrama fans do not watch our shows on Netflix. We have subscriptions…
Finally, there is someone who can say that Netflix for Chinese newbies who are new to the drama world. Honestly, If I ask any newly Chinese drama watcher, what is your favorite? they would say Hidden love or When I fly towards you, or speed and love. But only long time C drama lover say the oath of love, love 020, my little happiness......

Unfortunately I haven't watched Gen Z 😭
The above list of dramas are based on what I watched in 2023. Since I didn't watch Gen Z so I didn't add the drama to the list. But, recently I started watching few episodes. After I complete, If it replaces one of my top 20 of 2023, I will re add it. 😊😉
