I came here looking for answers. Can someone explain what in the Chinese lower-budget 50 Shades of Grey is going on in this drama??😂 What is with the cold showers, no kissing then kissing, hot milk and love-hate between the main characters? I genuinely went into this thinking it was a straightforward revenge romance just to get stumped 7 episodes in🫣
I love the mature romance in this drama. I haven't seen many Chinese dramas that focus on such an adult theme.…
Mature Chinese dramas with romance I've watched that I'd recommend are: • Here we meet again • You are my glory • Love at night These are just the few I can remember off the top of my head because they were REALLY good. Also, I think why some dramas come off as childish might be because of the script, directing, and the dubbed voices they use as well
Going through the comments and seeing a lot of negative posts prompted me to share my thoughts on this drama. To be fair it's adapted from a Web novel so expect a lot of typical rom com tropes🙂 The way they executed it is what saved it from being a cliché and made it an enjoyable watch. From the leads, to the parents especially ML's parents, his bff and business partner, their employees the glory and wealth group to be exact😂, FL's sister and even the clients and cases they took on were all engaging and at times ridiculously funny😄 At the beginning when I found the FL a bit annoying I almost dropped the show but hung in there for the laughs (s/o to Bao Rui and Mama Qian😂😂)but I ended up understanding and even enjoying her character, still cannot fathom why they felt the need to create conflict towards the end but I guess it helped with character development. Basically, to anyone who's thinking of watching this and maybe they're discouraged by all the negative comments, give it a chance you just might like it🙂
No they arent. There is an age gap. The male lead is same age as her older sister.
Not really I believe her sister is older than both Qian Heng and Wu Jun, idk what the age difference is tbh but the fact that Qian Heng calls Cheng Xi "senior" with a lot of respect kinda clued me in...
On Viki the machine translations were fixed and plot holes removed. I sobbed when I realized the real intent of…
What was the screenwriter's real intent please bc I'm still trying to figure out why it had to be carried out like that esp (like OP said) Cheng Yao acting coming off a bit cold? towards Qian Heng (even after they had resolved the power imbalance issue in their relationship)
The thing is that the attitude of the FL is complete garbage, we also know that ML is going to continue electing…
I think this is the first drama I've watched where I would prefer it if the main leads don't end up together (ML deserves a more emotionally mature FL). As long as Shi yue and Yu You are together I'm good tbh🫠
I'm going to need Zheng Shu Yi to stop being a wuss, meet Shi Yan and sort out their relationship problems without bringing up her bloody article or his company🤦🏽♀️ like why is she acting so dumb rn😭 Crying her eyes out and feeling guilty/moping about is obviously not changing anything so what is she waiting for ffs?😮💨
Exactly my thoughts ...she did a great character in falling into your smile ...I liked her a lot lot in that drama…
I dont think she's the actress in Falling into your smile, I know she's been in GoGo Squid and You are my hero. She did a great job in those dramas and I really loved her character in both, so I was expecting the same in this drama but sadly Shan Shan is disappointing so far.
😂😂😂 Maybe not a breakup but she should definitely stop taking her advice on her relationship with Shi Yan when Shan Shan is such a player and scared of commitment.
Sorry this is going to be a long rant because I've been waiting for the storyline and romance to get better but it hasn't... So far the only female lead I like is the niece QSY (she's adorable), Shu yi and her bestie Shan Shan can go to hell for all I care because their behaviour is getting ridiculous atp. How are 2 grown women (who are supposedly bright and successful) fumbling their relationships with 2 decent men so badly ffs, I hope Shi Yan and Guan Ji realize they deserve better than they're getting.
I'm currently on episode 26 and I've rolled my eyes so much already a headache is starting to form lol. A healthy relationship is about give and take, not being a taker with zero communication skills🤦♀️ FL claims that she's scared of losing ML but is purposely pushing him away and ignoring him when he keeps doing so much for her, it's pissing me off tbh. I hope she finally owns up to her mistakes and grovels a bit before they reconcile in future episodes🤞🏼
Iirc the FL overhears the ML talking to his friend about an opportunity to go abroad. The twin sister confronts FL about it screaming at her, that the ML turned the offer down bc of FL and that she shouldn't be selfish by keeping him by her side even though it would be a huge opportunity for him. FL then breaks up with ML (reason why he probably didn't tell her in the first place) saying it's just not the right time for them🤦🏽♀️ Here's the link someone posted though to get the full gist: https://wetv.vip/play/ccj9aex1biz7nqb/j0047l5p6jv?ptag=3_5.11.2.11190_copy
After watching the preview of episode 28 all I can say is I should've expected this but I was in denial. The name of the drama was a big enough hint on how fvcked the storyline would get😔 Arrrghhh!!🤬💀 Waiting for the remaining episodes to drop before I decide on my final rating bc so far (eps 22) it's not looking good. Which is annoying as hell bc it started so well and had so much potential but somehow midway into the show the plot started going off the rails 🤦♀️
