In this drama, Shi Ying is #1 in her heart, but it is obvious that she does deeply care for Yuan, and that is perfectly okay. He was there for her, and tried to understand her when others didn't, not to mention, he is very attractive. 😍
She also shows that she has some type of feelings for him with her strong reaction being pulled away.

Ah Yuan is the 2nd most important man in her life/heart, 1. Shi Ying and 2. Ah Yuan (other than her father) in the drama. In the novels, the majority of the time, has the guys switched.
She never forgets him nor she wants to marry others. Of course she will accept the royal decree and save her family…
In the novels, Zhu Yan did want to be with/marry Yuan for quite a long time. They changed that in the drama. I am not sure how happy I am about that though. Haha. 😅 Yuan was better than Shi Ying in the majority of the novels, but he loved Yao Yi. Thankfully, Xiao Zhan and Shi Ying as a character was improved in this drama. 😁
