Ren Min is actually a good actress, especially in serious roles.😒
I think she is doing just fine. Her nose etc may not be as "pretty" as a couple of other drama's leading girls, but she makes this cuter, feisty character actually palpable and less annoying. Not to mention in some ways she is a better actress. I am very annoyed with people coming at her like this, and yet will support less talented and more irritating actresses or female characters.
Plus, working with Xiao Zhan does hopefully give her some benefits as well as heavy negativity aimed at her.

Yes, that is one of the main reasons why I like her. Even when she was a teenager, she could add mature and seemingly sincere emotions to her character.
