The ML seems to be going through angst due to childhood trauma and teen dilemmas and was initially very unlikeable and verbally abusive. From what I recall, she's a useless character on the page and nothing more than an obsessive fan girl. The ML was a typical abusive tsundere. Been a while since I looked at the comic, though. Not much one can do to redeem her unless the scriptwriters improve what she fundamentally is. Ditto the ML.
