That translation isn't correct...I rewatched after JinRong died...it said deceased concobuine Shiyi was honored as empress....this is the title that the Jinrong daughter wanted -- exmpress "wonghao"...

Those parts I was confused too....so they showed the mom devastated..then the 3rd brother crying...and then ZSC student who was in wheelchair cyring...and then years later shows him in wheelchair visitng what-- the temple Shiyi named? And the general pushing him said all the generals are gone -- dead from old age etc? I think they could have done a better job to translink both dramas...and use the ending in O&O for such..

In f&E...I couldn't figure out who was the family lineage for modern day ZSC as he was in the generation books...and he supposedly took his name from ancient ZSC guy who was still known as traitor?...F&E was too confusing...

O&O was clearer in plot...expect the push for death...

Haha...you guys are one of the few that said record breaking pace..most people feel its such a "slow drama"....but it was quick for them to marry...

well not quick for Shiyi...waited a thousand years right? her last words was "switch to to marry me first" .. well thats what he did in modern life...quick to the point...although it wasn't full love but more attraction then for him...

I just didn't like in O&O how they justified ZSC death..he could have left with the young child king or fight battle till death...why surrendar and be tortured? That's what I didn't like and drove me nuts...the mutilation...

I was fine with her jump...both of them able to be "together" that way...even without a sequel...

It was the boning...gave me goosebumps and traumatized me....even though they didn't show...I could imagine that pain and it showed in Shiyi's sleep and when the monk saw the body....

so to me they didnt l link both drams as well as they could because at the end when she woke up coma..said she dreamed it....and she was a voice actress for the drama...that really took away the link -- because it seemed she was too invested in the drama when she was voicing but the throughout the story bits and pieces about past life. "how she said many people owed ZSC -- how she know if it wasn't his past life? ..sigh..the censorhip of reincarnation not allowed...to me put a damper on the linkage of both drama and made it confusing...


espaically since they didn't put the most imporant verse of the story "I exchanged my bones for you to be beautiful to be able to cxall me....that was the point of the boning o the way he died....besides the jealousy of his beautiful bones by the king

Yeah me too....really didn't like the ending...too quick a tortuous death for no reason...drove me nuts to tears...

I think I asked this before and maybe it was answered but still confused.... at the end of One and Only
Shiyi's 3rd brother changed his name to ZhouShan....is this modern drama family his family? The 3rd brother remarried (he was in love with the big seejiewho died )and the modern day ZSC is not only reincarnation but also related by blood somehow? Somehow the ancicent ZSC was in the family lineage and I couldn't figure out how still....


At the end of One and only they only showed the student in the wheelchair...and said all generals were gone -- I assumed dead due to old age etc...and he was left....so I didn't know if the modern day ZSC was related to this guy? But I don't recall him changing his name to ZhouShan..

I really wished the modern drama was able to make it more clear....I thought the romance was cute but thought too much concentration that they didn't explain the family lineage....explain his background...explain his parents etc...

Really wished they could relate both drams more...than just saying she is a voice actress for the drama...

I will try...don't know all answers...

1. ZSC's mother was not accepted in the family. The father and mother actually eloped. It wasn't until the mother died the father came back.

2. Clueless why she was forced to marry ZSC's father when she didnt love him and loved the uncle...but I think its one of those same concept sacrifice self for family power and name....similar to ancient drama.

3. They never explained or showed his biological parents.

4. She was in coma maybe 2 months? And then time passed by again -- I assume a few months when she then convinced him to have kids. Then they had decided to have kids...then wedding ceremony came afterwards...

Yeah I agree...spend whole life saving country and then killed too easily tortuously....he could have left with the young king child...why did he stay...fight it off and if he died during fight then more meaningful then to give up ind be tourtured to death...save his life retreat and then clear his name..if not for his sake..for his students and soldiers..

maybe he was tired being nanchanwan...just I understand why drama needed the boning...since writer wrote it in...whole epitomol of the story besides romance...

He looked handsome...but somehow I feel they put too much makeup on him...the lips ...even in the fan meet and variety show "hai pai" too much makeup especially lips....I liked his manly look in under power although he was "chubbier"

What do you mean? .. the acting was brilliant from both leads as well as the secondary…parts of the storyline drove me nuts the the loyal stupidity of male lead …and how and why the ml dies….but in general a beautiful sad story….just cried tears out….some people compared to good by priin ess… I don’t think can be comparable at all

I have a question...in chapter 20 she gets married to that crown prince...but he was staging and planning rebellion.....they never consummated the marriage right...

Yeah..tell me about it...in episode 19 he rebelled against the wicked empress...she killed her son for the throne....he could have removed her marriage requirement....

They said he lost his will to live really after knowingly she had to marry...well she didn't have to..the empress no longer had power to give wedding orders...this is the part I find make no sense

Yeah...so annoyed at his stupid loyalty for no reason. I would prefer him being poisoned then die in battle...then for the sake of the "beautiful bones" due to author theme...mutilated afterwards...but to do it while he alive...yeah how endure such pain what go in his mind?

I scream even with a cut or burn...let alone this ...uuugggh...too traumatizing...

Hence I really wished they kept those words in F&E...how he exchanged his bones for her to be beautiful to call his name...that to me was the epitomal of the whole series for F&E...even without direct reincarnation hints

I was rewatching fnally got up to episode 16...tears tears tears...not sure if can handle additional...

Besides that one moment he hugged her in episode 10...I remember that scene that Bailu played out when she saw the bloodletter...the sorrow then happiness then sorrow...it was so brilliant!!!!

Oh my goodness..I feel like crying..how can that be...he should have even suicided by biting his tongue to not have to endure such pain...so I had to skip that scene...so glad they didn't really show gruesome....but the look when the Monk friend saw his dead body...just shivered me....how devastating...so trauamatizing...

Me too..I think they traumatized me…Zsc sacrificed so much his whole life..how can he die so tortuously..no one tried to save him ..I would have st least shot an arrow to his heart so he died quickly instead of suffering three hours of this…and not one pain word or scream?? oh my gosh ..
