What happened when he was a boy affects your adult self. We didn’t see the 10yrs or so that they actually raised him. Maybe they should have shown a bit of this because it would show that they were sort of his parents now and see the bond created in those years and if he did ever question in the past.
I think him trusting people has also helped him keep his humanity and hasn’t turned into what the villains are like .

He was only 10yrs old or something when rescued by him. Lost everything, saw everything that happened, can only imagine the trauma that comes with that, his masters were his only lifeline. I wouldn’t say he trust so easily. He was just a kid, and understandable to grow an attachment with the people who saved him.

Not to worry playing with fire is dangerous and the general will soon find out, look how I turned out🤣🤣

I think the blind guy probably managed to get someone to pour that liquid on it at some point to stop it from working.

I am enjoying this but the director is really annoying at times. Why do they seem to always go on super slow speed when someone is in danger?

Zang Hai actually managed to trap the queen, in no time. He has skills. I was feeling anxious when the carriage stopped.

Ngl I enjoyed watching the marquis but at no point did I ever feel sorry for him. In addition to what he did to ZH’s family, he was such a bad husband to ZZX’s mother. He ditched her for a new wife, when he fell from grace got with her again and then ditched her again when his career was on the up and finally approved her murder. He always just looked out for himself really. That’s why his main wife turned on him, because he discarded her, when she was no longer useful. It’s been wonderful to watch his selfishness/greed being his downfall.

I think FL doesn’t really know, but she does want to protect ML. So first tried use what little connection they have by saying “I will never forgive” when that didn’t work the truth came out she is more afraid he can’t win against her.

Well if FL’s fear is anything to go by, the Queen will be a force to be reckoned with. FL’s words to ZH seemed to be more out of fear of what the Queen could do to him. They are big shoes to fill!

He already reflected on that with his masters. Saying is the revenge worth it. I say yes it is, so we have a great drama 😂

So yesterday we were worried Zang Hai revealed himself too soon to the marquis, but it was all but it was part of the plan. Trust the process.

Agree, one of the best ML characters, they did an amazing writing job and had the right actor for the role. All the micro expressions and emotions have been great.

How is that lacking yet he already outwitted some of the players? He could have been buried in the tomb ages ago, but outwitted that guy. The marquis who doesn’t trust anyone before didn’t see him coming, he trusted him till ZH set him straight.

I am at a lose for words, agree with the comments Xiao Zhan’s acting has been phenomenal. The snow scene, just wow!!!

On an unserious note, someone needed to hand Zang Hai some 🍿 during the banquet and court when the wife came in. He put that show into place🤣

Everyone can’t outplay him, some are already out of the game because of him.
I am at the edge of my seat because there are literally no guarantees, it’s not predictable, it’s nerve racking and exciting.
