Really love that FL can fight, watching her fight in the forest was soo captivating!

When ML revealed his identity i was so gagged! I thought he would play on her amnesia but so glad he didn’t

Already loving the chemistry between the leads and her paying back the ‘debt’ in ep 3 was so good, i rewatched it twice😂

The prime minister talking about a blood dept needs to be repaid like didn’t start it by getting ML mum killed

It seems like were getting the same old story of prime minister’s family wanting the throne and getting his daughter as empress. I hope they can keep the story fresh tbh cause it gets boring watching the same story

Oh okay, I'm glad because it did seem they genuinely grew close. I'd love for his mum and her friends to still be somewhat supportive of Xu Yan. Like she's admirable for not wanting his money and prefering to start from scratch, I hope they can see that and respect her

Omg I know, I cried for her in that moemnt it was so heartbreaking. I bet they will give us some sort of sad backstory for ML as to why he is so cold?

Yeah, her parents are horrible, but would she have felt the need to lie if his mother didn't belittle her so much? That scene where she invited her to lunch but was having some sort of speed dating with 'suitable women' was so annoying lol.

Sometimes I wonder if his Mum is in on it too. I've seen AI edits on Tiktok but It makes me wonder how deep this lie goes with his family

I don't think she was compromising tbh, because he has grown to love and care for the kid and knows he is just a victim in all this.

I just saw that in the Novel, Xu Yan turns down ML after the divorce and goes her own way. I would actually very much love that ending, but we won't see that as there are still 18 eps left for his redemption arc, I guess..

I think the start of their relationship is skipped because it may focus on the 'redemption' after divorce. I don't want to spoil too much as you are only on ep 6, but keep watching it's really good and i love how fast pace it is

That's very true, unfortunately, and I see it quite often with vulnerable women being taken advantage of due to their wanting love and stability.

Just had a look at the MDL calendar to see that this has dropped. 6 episodes on IQIYI, very excited ahaha and I was about to sleep lol

Omg exactly! His manipulation is way worse and hurts!! Watching him stop her every time she wanted to be honest was so unfair to her! Even when he revealed that he knew all along, acting like she had no right to be upset, when he's been watching her all along, with a lack of trust. And him using her job to manipulate her. It's all very unforgivable imo

The scariest part is when I go to rewatch their 'happy' moments, like he faked all of it

I agree, I want to see her single for many episodes tbh, and you're right. If there were another ML option, no one would choose Haoming for her! I don't mind watching him grovel till episode 30 tbh

I think he was just using Feng Lei in the previous episode, but he definitely should have kept stronger boundaries with her. It really annoyed me when he couldn't just be honest with Xu Yan, ignoring her calls and also when he was with his son. Like she would have understood, if he told her be he chose to ignore her. He's such a red flag and I honestly feel zero sympathy for him

Haoming’s deception is actually way worse than Xu Yan’s! It’s very obvious, that she lied about her family for love and to somewhat protect herself as she doesn’t get along with them. And she was never willing to accept his gifts and always told him she could handle her work alone!

Haoming lied about loving her, his son, interfered with her job as an anchorman when she thought she achieved that alone, her dream!! And now she’s going to leave the job she loves because of his interference. She was telling him she loved him and he ignored it and she cried eating, my heart broke for her. A child deprived of love from parents and now the man she loves was faking it.

As sad as it is, I love that Xu Yan didn’t come up with excuses and just accepted it. I need Haoming begging on his knees before she forgives him and takes him back!!!!

Can't say I loved it as it was boring for the most part. The main couple was really cute and only worth watching for them, in my opinion.

Yeah, some scenes he looks so in love or shocked wth his feelings. I'm excited for whats to come

Yeah i've seen that from the novel too that his brother is actually his son. Do you think he loves FL or is just pretending? That's what i'm confused about cause he looks so in love with here lool

The ML appears to be in love with FL, but apparently, he is pretending, which is pretty psychotic lol. Does anyone know what the reason may be?
