Honestly, i'm just not sold on the romance part. Why would she get with Lu Siyu when she hates his family and they are the cause of her family's downfall? Even if he wasn't a part of her, her revenge hasn't been completed and she's entertaining it??

Although the ending was nice, it could have been better. I think the ML deserved a HE with FL, where they are in love, living the simple life he had wished for, considering how in love and devoted he was to her over the years.
Hope he gets more main lead roles, especially on the big screen. Face card is insnae lol and just watched him in Revenge of the reborn princess and he did soo well!

Okay, so after blitzing through episodes and just skipping loads of scenes, I just can't recommend this. It is so poorly written with the plot holes, I kept asking, "Why would they do that?".
Especially with the plot twist, I can't think of a valid reason for them to do what they did.
Watching on Viki, where it's 10 compressed episodes, and I'm not sold after 3 episodes. ML obviously loves FL but is treating her badly. Can't tell if she still loves him or is scared of him, and the emperor gives loser because you know your marriage is an agreement, but he wants affection from FL.
Also, the whole marrying your brother-in-law thing is so stupid to me and dead sister making a pact etc
This may just be my comfort show becuase of the chemestry even though i know it's not the best i've seen. One my second watch i noticed there are some minor characters who's story's aren't tied up. maybe it's on purpose, cause i don't find this to be too serious
Real shame Yuan Bing Yan is done with acting cause she's amazing!
I’ve started this last night and on episode 10. Really enjoying it and after being unsure on what to watch its exactly what i wanted.
Questions, does the Ming family have sons? FL mentions her dad being alone but shes the 4th daughter so who’s the 1st and 2nd kids?
Who is the empress dowager related to? I was thinking could she be the emperor’s mum but I’m unsure tbh and why does she hold so much power lol. And the commentary princess who are her parents? I thought it was that treacherous prime minster’s daughter but its obvs not
