I'm halfway through episode 23 and i', getting slightly annoyed watching this because of the whole story arc of them in the mortal world and 'Mr. Right'. Honestly, i'm just soldering through over here hoping the ending delivers
They had to cut down 10 episodes that's why the last episodes felt rushed.
Oh, thats alot. That does make sense though as there were some scenes that felt chopped aswell or things mentioned but not shown on screen. Thanks for the insight
I enjoyed this, it was surprisingly hilarious, which made me keep watching. I binged the show in a week, and now I wish I savoured it. My only problem is with the ending; I hope it was better executed, considering Buyi's wedding was a topic of conversation for most of the show, and we didn't see it happen. I was hoping for a 'special' episode like they do with other shows, but that did not happen.
Another thing I didn't like was the kisses lool like it was just their lips touching and sometimes. their eyes were open, which I find soo weird. I give this a solid 9.5; the plot was well executed with likeable characters. I really loved the emperor, empress and consort as well, what a healthy dynamic that was, and i have never seen it before.
So I've watched up to episode 9 today and I feel disappointed. I also don't understand, in their current lives they clearly like each other right? In the past life they had too many miscommunications which seems as the pain point of the break in their relationship. However, in their current life, the Princess appears to be more annoyed at the ML, when it was her who brought a third person to stay in the relationship? and said 3rd person killed her but she still seems to like him, and even plots to get back with him??? (I saw a ep 10 spoiler). Isn't the ML truly the victim in this relationship, and he let her off easy with killing him in the past? Also, the plot itself doesn't seem that good.
I duno, i mainly came her because of all the hype the shoe received and for Zhang Ling He of course, as I loved him in Story of Kunning Palace, but i think i need to stop comparing, as I've watched My Journey to you, where his acting was briliant, but the story fell flat for me there too.
ML should just leave acting and focus on modelling, it'll definitely favor him
He's a really good actor, he devoured his role in Story of Kunning Palace, which made me an immediate fan. Maybe its the type of character in this drama. I’ve only seen him in two projects, the other being My Journey to You which he was also brilliant in.
Just finished episode 14, and that was due to me binging the show lool. It was extremely frustrating to get to this point like a big part of the script is so stupid and bad. The only reason I made it this far is that the two leads have crazy chemistry, and her only redeemable sibling, Prasit, is a good watch.
All the misunderstandings that were happening, were so unnecessary, so when big fallouts were happening it was just dumb. Also, I felt so bad for Janthron, she was truly innocent and faced the brut of it all. I don't know i will continue, because they have a happy ending and i don't care for the other plots.
Also, Her brother who is in the closet, trying to set her up with his secret lover, was so foul! He pretends to love his sister but has selfish intentions like the other two. For me, that was so disappointing tbh and also felt out of place for the character from him being introduced as being protective.
Anyways, I would recommend this, if you are into angst and romance. Like me, you have to ignore the rest of the plot.
For a short drama this is one of the best. The twist at the end was unexpected. i rated this 10/10 purely because it was a short drama, if it was a normal-length drama i would probably rate it lower, but nonetheless, I highly recommend it.
I think the masked cat killer is the kidnapper, who is also the real Bank Sa'Eon. It confirmed it for me when the grandfather said "There shouldn't be even a single rusty spoon in this household'', which for me also confirms the son swap theory. And the kidnapper saying that he knows Sa'Eon the best and him calling Hee Joo Unni, it's the only thing that makes sense to me.
Also, I want to believe that he suspected it being Hee Joo on the phone a bit earlier because the content of the phone calls makes no sense for a 3rd party to be saying when it was clear that Hee Joo was talking from a personal place of hurt. Or did he find out and get distracted by her being on the roof and him thinking she wanted to commit suicide?
Another thing, i still believe he secretly knows sign language. if he doesn't it would be a BIG disappointment considering it seems like he's liked her since they were kids.
So excited to watch them falling in Love, even though they are both down bad for each other ahaha. i saw that in the novel the sister is kind and helpful so hope they stick with that in the drama. I've also sadly seen some spoilers that i'm trying to forget lool.
So, I decided to watch this randomly after seeing an edit on Twitter about the love triangle. The start of the show really drew me in and I found myself not being bored of the story. I was so eager that I binged the show in 5 days lol .
Let's start with the love triangle, it worked for me at first, however, spending 3 years or however long it was on the 9th Lord 'romance' with the lead was a DRAGGG. I found it annoying to see him try win her back or interfere with her new romance. And then the FL started to get on my nerves because she kept disregarding Wu jI's feelings. Honestly, the love triangle should of stopped early, when we reached episode 30 and I'm still watching unnecessary comments. and when he kissed her in the last episode? Ew. Honestly what a shame for 9th lord as Iwas rooting for her, but he had wayy too many chances and blew it!
There were parts of the story that also didn't make sense, like there was ZERO reason for Qin Xiang to see Xio Yue as enemy number one, but also Xio Yue not really fight back and always being nice and forgiving?
The whole show felt like it was leading up not nothing, but the finale episode for me was a massive let down. Like yeah, they get their happy ending but at what cost to the story? Also was a shame not to see Ms Hong in the finale episodes as her friendship with Xio Yue was a delight to watch.
Sorry but back to Qin Xiang, how can she leave her son all alone like that? ffss so many plot holes in this man. I really wanted to see some justice, and the rouge Wan members get sorted out.
I rated this 7.5 as i really did enjoy it but after finishing it, the plot just lacked a sollid finish
