She’s trying to scheme but failing so some are complaining she’s dumb and sucks at planning and later when she actually succeeds there’s complaint she’s a Mary Sue too. It’s only 24 episodes so it’s fast paced but some says it’s slow so I’m confused 🙈 So with all these weird comments from all different angles, it all really depends on what you like, if it’s your cup of tea/drama. It’s a female centric drama so the drama is about her so male lead doesn’t have as much screen time as her. It’s more about revenge and politic so not a lot of romance but to me it’s enough romance between them. I like their chemistry and I’ve seen some loving the chemistry while some say it’s nonexistent. I finished it and I think it’s fine.

Found it! A decent one of the most beautiful sword dance ever in Cdrama land 💛💛 Chu Zhao and Yan Lai sword practice was basically a beautiful dance between the two with their explosive chemistry without a single word utter between them 💛

It would’ve been so much more interesting if Deng Yi and Yan Fang wasn’t killed in the drama like the novel. Suffering while alive is the ultimate punishment for the two in the novel. Deng Yi’s spirit broken having to start at the bottom and Yan Fang watching the girl he fell for being with his bother
