Based on the preview, I think it's intentional. It feels like they're trying to create comedy out of the fact…
Yeah it's frustrating. For all the heavy emotional journey they have both been through, they deserve deep and solid intimate/romantic moments in between to convey their inward yearning/feeling for each other.
Is the director actually allergic to giving our main couple intimate scenes or even a proper kiss scene ? Like we are already 10 episodes in. Why aren't they making good use of this insane chemistry?π«
But why is the director going for this cute and inexperience kind of kisses for the ml and fl. We all know Jaewook is a certified kisser; they should allow them go all out lol, or are they trying to stay consistent with Ji Ui nerdy and clumsy nature
The position Ji Ui is now is honestly a difficult one. Torned between granting Hari's wish and making her happy and upholding his promise and responsibility as a doctor and friend to Hari's grandmother at the expense of his relationship with Hari. I hate to be in that situation.
I understand Hari getting angry at him pushing him away due to that, I also understand Him refusing to budge despite that. It's heartbreaking.
I find the concept of Hari and her grandmother quite interesting.
Hari wants her to go through with treatment even if there's 1% chance, she is willing to take it cause she so much don't want to lose her. On the other hand, her grandmother has made her resolve and just wish to live her remaining days with her just normal and happy as its always been cause the idea of pursuing treatment time and time again with no positive result and Hari having to suffer throughout those times has really been hell for her.
At the end, one can understand both sides. It also brings the discussion: in a real life scenario, where family members are at the crossroad like that, what really is the best way out
I will keep my hope till like episode 8 waiting for the development and story arc they will give the SML cause right now, they are still shoving him between male lead and female lead (even after they have started dating) to spark minor jealousy here and there from ML which I find so meaningless and unnecessary for the story. Like making his character just about that is cliche and a waste of potential.
At the end, that route will only affect the story and their character (male lead, female lead and second male lead) in a bad way. Like male lead will now be seen as overly jealous, female lead will be seen as clingy flirty, and not maintaining clear boundary for someone in a relationship already and lastly SML will be seen as annoying.
I still have hope that SML will get his own development and story arc though so let's see how it plays. But for now thats some of my fears for the drama
They got together in episode 5. It's safe to say their relationship from now onwards will be full of ups and downs, mis-understandings, quarrels, break up and make up e. t. c. But I still will prefer that to the 2 last episode get together kinda trope. I just hope they don't go to far with it though.
episode 1 to 3 seems to be a promising drama I'd enjoy but what's up with episode 4, wtf?! the hell's wrong with…
There's no lose end in the drama for me so far and there's not a pathetic character for me so far. Not even one. All our characters are living, breathing real people, you see through them and understand their motivations, strength and weakness and how they are learning and growing episode by episode.
After Alchemy of Souls, Lee Jae-wook starred in four dramas.Dear Hongrang and Death's Game were both very well…
Lee Jaewook is a victim of his own class and talent. For such an extraordinary actor, viewers expects every drama of his that comes out to be extraordinary.
At the end, I don't really blame them. He's 28! he has demonstrated so much versatility since his debut, he still has his career ahead of him. So I hope those that loves him and his acting should keep rooting for him, for great scripts and success.
I love that the drama has a defined tone and theme and it's message it's never replaced. No matter how the plot progresses, it never lose its charm as a medical romcom/humane healing drama. I hope they keep to it till the end
I'm absolutely loving the fast pace. We just concluded the fourth episode and it seems we already in episode 7/8.
Do you guys understand? Like we still have 8 solid episodes left for this drama yet it feels like we already know most things about these characters and Pyeondong-do island as a whole.
I have to give probs to the production for that level of efficiency.
And it also means there's still a lot to unpack, the journey is just starting.
