I understand. But this drama was based on a novel; they actually introduced the various themes in the novel, they even left some plots and themes out due to lack of time. This drama is not the type with a single storyline. Its dark, heavy and covers alot of themes such as sadism, child trafficking, child abuse, greed, trauma, fate e.t.c and alot that was not even shown; they did it just like the novel; an unconventional yet realistic story. Thats why I said Netflix is stupid, if they want to adapt such a vast and rich novel into a drama, they should have given the filmakers enough time to cover the story and explore all the themes, plots and characters well so that it doesn't feel rushed. Nevertheless, they tried with the time they gave them, I'm glad many people enjoyed it regardless of that little lapse

Exactly! The drama deserves a prequel season 2 ( where they will have the oppurtunity and time to expand and fully explain those subplots and most especially the backstories of all the major characters)
The OST and cinematography were beautiful! I loved all shots of landscapes and in nature. The acting and costumes…
11Ep wasn't enough thats why the story felt a bit rushed. Netflix was so stupid not to make this serie a 16 or even 20 episodes. the production crew tried their best to wrap the story up with the little time that was given them
I hope Netflix fixes their subtitle issue, especially for period dramas. The words or meaning get lost because…
Netflix are just annoying. I mean you have enough money to make high budget movies every now and then, but to make the subtitles of a non English speaking serie to be accurate is their problem?
It's well. We can only hope this will be different. The production agency also has some good dramas to it's name. The…
Indeed! Also I heared she rejected this upcoming tvN drama "Head over Heels" (she was first casted as the female lead), then she decided to do last summer instead. So refusing that drama and choosing to do this one; it mean something must have drawn her to this script. But then, we just have to wait and see how it turns out
12Eps! This should be a 16 or 20Eps serie. Netflix did the drama dirty
Exactly. The drama had a lot to tell, alot to expand and flesh out, alot of backstory for the characters that they didn't have time to show. They did their best to compile everything into 11 eps though. Netflix should just have given them enough time
She made a huge mistake by agreeing to be a lead role in a kdrama while she was just still coming up in acting. I think the pressure from the backlash she got in the impossible heir was overwhelming, at some point, people started abusing her through hate comments. That's totally wrong and wont wish it on anyone. She is still young with a big career ahead, she has all the time to grow, master her craft and I believe she has gone on a long hiatus after impossible heir to reflect on herself and improve on her acting (possibly maybe she is currently taking acting classes) . So let's give her a chance, every great actor/actress always starts from somewhere. She will eventually get there
Why Hong Suzu? Has she improved her acting skills?
She made a huge mistake by agreeing to be a lead role in a kdrama while she was just still coming up in acting. Thank God she has gone back to start taking support role (she should build herself like that little by little) I think the pressure from the backlash she got in the impossible heir was overwhelming, at some point, people started abusing her through hate comments. I dont get how you fall in love so easily with someone you think is your brother. It was all a bit cringe for…
A sensitive story indeed. Truth is, it was even done well in the drama; showing Jaeyi confused, lost, disgusted with herself and wanting to run away when she noticed she was falling for the man who she at one point slightly believe to be her brother ( I said slightly cause she was never 100% convinced) was a a very brilliant move by the writer and director . If they should have done it as explicit as it was in the novel or webtoon, I guess some people will actually faint watching 😁😄.
The drama is a very sensitive drama that depicts what we rarely see in a kdrama, heavy, dark and sensitive themes. So it takes those with strong heart to get pass those little sensitive parts of the drama to see the broader message of the entire show
watched 3 ep went on YouTube saw shorts got to know that it has sad ending and left it there i am so pissed i…
I get you dear. But as much as films are made to escape reality, at the same time, films are also made to depict reality. So it's all about going for the one that suits your taste.
Although it is beautifully shot, the limited number of episodes hinders the storytelling. Lee Jae Wook is good…
'The rest of the cast isnt that impressive' you got to be kidding me! Don't be too overwhelmed by the main lead that you can't notice and appreciate others that did great too. Lee jaewook was phenomenal as always, but ignoring the incredible performance of the rest of the cast like Kim Jaewook, Uhm ji won and Jo bo ah is a crime.
Lee jaewook was perfect in his role, same as Kim jaewook, Uhm Ji won and Jo bo ah
It gets better with every episode (in my opinion) Rest is up to u
You don't have to trust someone to watch a drama though. It all depends if it's your type of drama and if you were able to relate to it. No drama in this world is liked by anyone, there must be some people that it wasn't their type of drama. So watch it and see for yourself if you like it or not
The plot had more holes than a fishing net. No real backstory for key characters, zero logic behind major events…
See. The only thing wrong with this drama was lack of enough episodes. if the plot feels a bit rushed or not enough backstory, it was because Netflix was so stupid to give such a rich drama only 11 ep. The fact that people are still calling this drama a masterpiece despite Netflix not giving them time to fully explore and flesh out the plot and characters goes a long way to tell you how good this drama is and the greater impact it could have had than this if Netflix didn't fucking did them dirty
