I understand your take about the bickering friend to lovers tropes. Though from different articles as regards the plot that I've read so far, it seems this one is a fresh take, not the usual enemy to lovers trope
Choi Sung Eun has a very short filmography, the ones she selected so far are good dramas, so I trust her choice of scripts. Moreover, the director for impossible heir has just one bad drama; which is the impossible heir, the rest of his work are great, so let's hope this one turns out great too. In essence, what we should be more worried about is the screenwriter, let's hope the script is good cause that's the most important aspect.
The screenwriter here doesn't have much track record just like The impossible heir (the director's previous work)…
You are wrong on that. The impossible heir failed due to bad writing. As for the female lead in TIH, she wasn't actually that good acting wise, so it wasn't rage baiting, people complaining about her acting was definitely right on their own terms; not that the drama failed due to her though, it was the bad script.
If peradventure, this one did not turn out well too, nobody in their right mind will blame Choi Sung Eun cause she is obviously a great and talented actress. the script however will be what to be blamed.
Personally, I think in terms of directing, the director is not bad. The only thing he is to be blamed in TIH is not selecting a good actor for the female lead. The main blame for the impossible heir should be on the writer.
She made a huge mistake by agreeing to be a lead role in a kdrama while she was just still coming up in acting.…
When it comes to the two male lead; character wise, their characters was awful and in many aspect, the writing of the show kind of limited their acting skills a little, especially lee jaewook whose character is meant to have a poker face always. But during the scenes where they were meant to show emotions, you could see the crazy acting from the two, the scene where han taeoh mother visited him in prison, the scene where he came to see his mother's dead body etc. As for Junyoung; those angry and desperate emotions acting of his and his confrontation with Lee Jaewook. those are peak acting. The issue with hongsuzu acting in that show was she couldn't display facial emotion acting properly. The show might have limited the lead actors acting a bit due to the script but when it was time to show emotions, you could still see why they are A list actors, but for hongsuzu that was lacking. I'm not a fan of people criticizing actress acting alone in a drama and leave actors even though they are both bad. But in all honesty, that wasn't the case in impossible heir. Jaewook and Junyoung delivered acting wise in that drama. Wishing Suzu the best. Indeed she will improve and bounce back.

Yes, the drama entirely is bullsit, meaningless plot and character development and a story that doesn't make sense. Yes she was good in other works where she was a side character. I'm not saying the show failed cause of her or her acting. The show/characters was a bump on it's own. But you can't deny the fact that she was not that good acting wise in that drama, she is a rookie with a future ahead so I know she will improve.
It's a Netflix production. Their release always comes earliest a year after filming ends. So earliest we can expect this is last quarter 2026. But it may push into 2027 if there is any delay
I've been watching the show so far, the cast are all lively and fun. The reason that particularly scene was like that was because Hyeyoon came in unexpected early in the morning while they were all sleeping after the days work, so it's natural for their reaction to be like that. The show has really been fun personally so far especially the way Jiyeon and Jaewook always fight and bicker with each other is a joy to watch
The creator of the story; Director Han Jun Hee described this drama as a scary, funny, sad and strange story. I guess we are in for a lot of mixed emotions experience
writer of radio romance and kiss sixth sense. let's keep expectation low.
Oh I see, those two are the only dramas on the writer resume. He/She is still coming up. Hoping she took time to master her craft after kiss sixth sense which I believe was in 2021
Jaewook hasn't acted with Shin ye eun before, so why do you think they won't have chemistry? Lee Jaewook has always had chemistry with all of his co stars thus far as long as they can act. If jaewook can have chemistry with noonas, is it someone of his age group that he won't have chemistry with?
How come you cant find ratings information about this season's show anywhere? It doesnt even have a wikipedia? This…
I guess you are too fixated/obscessed on Dex/Eujin and season 1 success that you are making everything about it. Look, if you like season 1 more than season 2 or you are not happy that they replaced Dex/Eujin then it's simple, stick to the old memories you have on season 1 and don't watch season 2 because what i'm seeing from your comments so far on this page clearly tells me, you are more concerned in comparison between S1&2 and dragging s2 because it didn't live up to the success of S1 rather than just watching the show for what it is. Nobody here is arguing with you, we all know season 1 is far more succesful than season 2 but it's that the reason you start dragging s2 and the cast unecesaarily I mean that's petty you know especially to the point of saying Jaewook Jiyeon doesn't have chemistry and they are just copying s1 and things feel forced. Look, you don't have to be desperate to that point, telling lies and been bias cause I even doubt you are watching this season. Go on online community, you will see only praises of the sibling Chemistry between Jaewook ND Jiyeon and the rest of the cast and how fun and unique on it's own season 2 is. In essence, its true s1 is more succesful than S2 and probably maybe cause Dex/Eujin has this star power together that brings viewers or for many other reasons, that should be it. You don't have to start going about talking down on this season and belittling their hard work. You may not be enjoying this season that's fine; no show in this world is liked by everyone. but I tell you with all honesty, there are alot other people enjoying it.
I agree with you. The 'viewership' ratings are down compared to the previous season but you can't say it's cause…
Indeed dear. That's the point I want to make in the above comment arguement/opinions. It's true that season 1 is more succesful than season 2 and the reason can be many thing but definitely not lack of chemistry between Jaewook and Jiyeon. There's alot of good testament about them online and it's only praise for their siblings chemistry and that season 2 is so fun and unique. For rating wise, like I said it can be due to other things probably the timeframe/period of release didn't favour them or maybe Dex/Eunjin had more star power that can bring viewers or sort e.t.c, it can be anything and that's just it. But definitely has nothing to do with Jaewook Jiyeon chemistry or the way season 2 is in general. If anyone is honest and without bias, you will know that season 2 is so much fun and unique on it's own and the chemistry between the cast and even guest roles thus far is superb plus online communities have only praise for them since it started airing.
If peradventure, this one did not turn out well too, nobody in their right mind will blame Choi Sung Eun cause she is obviously a great and talented actress. the script however will be what to be blamed.
Its good having a respectable discussion on this with you.
Rooting for HongSuzu for many success ahead
