Gameboy-ish, fluffy start to a typical tropey Thai BL that is getting tamer with new episodes
It starts off on similar premise as Gameboys in ways, two people meet on the game and start engaging and liking each other....with an additional Pi-Nong element (typical Thai) and a fake rivalry build-up that leads to cute exchanges. But with passing episodes it just gets tamerBL-Needle Score: 8, reasonably high BL-ness
I am not expecting much from this one but plain cuteness and fluff. The way Soh wears that bear head and the reactions that show up on the screen despite his face being behind that is completely narak!!
Dropped this after Ep 2

Love Is Better the Second Time Around Season 2

The second serving of their second time love - off to a yummy start!!
I had liked the first season quite a bit and was excited about season 2...looks like the second serving is all set to rock!!BL-Needle Score: 8. High BL-ness
Miyata and Iwanaga are now settled into a relationship and the tenderness between them looks so beautiful...even after 2 years, Miyata is still completely head over heels for his Senpai and so is Iwanaga for his Miyata-kun, or is he???
What happens when Senpai's Senpai comes back to see him instantly after learning that Iwanaga has 'someone special in his life'....seems like trouble is brewing in paradise...Miyata is anyway a tad insecured around Iwanaga's cocky-handsome persona...now if his seemingly old flame comes back claiming his attention, how will he handle it? Also, his erstwhile love-rival and Iwanaga's secretary, seems hell bent on screwing their happiness....
We seem to be set for some delish tensions, borderline infidelity and love-hurt...I can't wait!!!

Looks very promising...I love the tension between the leads
I have been waiting for this one since the trailer came out...the plot sounded really interesting, the sparring looked yummy!Ep 1- Auau and Save really started off on a great note...or should I say they started on a sour note, which served some delish tension....
James also seems absolutely poised to serve 'bitch personified' and with a overbearing and annoying mom to boot, this one seems all set to serve high drama...and oh, did I mention that Auau looks plain scrumptious...and Save, as they said in Ep 1, the 'Chef's kiss bottom' 🤭
I'm primed for Ep 2 now!!

Underwhelming start - the trailer looked much better
I was really intrigued by what seemed to be the first ever Zombie-verse BL drama and that whole 'the boy who lived'- thing...the trailer looked quite good too...but, the first two episodes disappointBL-Needle Score: 7.5 Reasonable BL-ness so far
Too many script loopholes, and the tone swings between serious and unsure where to go....and then, some scenes seem almost comic...I think the makers were confused whether to make a show with completely serious apocalypse tone, or make use of the 'zombie' to poke some fun...as it is, no matter what shows they make about zombies, almost all of them mandate those weirdly comical hand-body movements as SOP for all zombies across nations...which kinda takes the seriousness away
The leads are not bad and A Lie, the one hunting for the immune one seems good...but one can only do so much with intense stares, etc. when the script is bad. For e.g., They give absolutely no explanation as to A lie he wanted Lin Zai to feed him the food when he could easily use his own hands for that death-grip on him right after he woke up and thought Lin Zai was a threat...there are many like that all through these two episodes
I will continue to watch for the novelty of the theme and see where this goes after another two episodes, but my hunch is, it won't make much of a difference.

Cute JBL- started off really well!
That whole 'I realised I love you only when I saw you leave'-trope - never gets old I guess 🥰BL-needle Score: 7.5. Reasonably high BL-ness
I really liked the first episode. Has a simple story line and the execution doesn't feel over the top or comic-ish, which is the case for many cute JBLs these days. Wataru realises his attraction to Minato only when he leaves for another town for his job after having lived together for 5 years.
The way Wataru keeps repeating 'Tomodachi'(just friends) while running to meet him when Minato returns to town exactly on the 10th anniversary of their first meeting, was so awwwwww. And Minato has such deep eyes and stares with such meaning at Wataru that you can't but melt.
The only thing that felt off is that for a friend who is that close, Wataru should have been dropping Minato off at the airport when he was going off, and not said bye outside their apartment.
I love the pent-up longing and the delish tension of unspoken words and desire between them
Definitely looking forward to the next episodes...:)
