Can we please have more realistic adult romances in dramas?
I understand the appeal of the “I’ve only ever loved you” trope, but it’s becoming too unrealistic. You’re telling me a man in his Mid to late 20s especially one living in a dangerous or complicated world has never dated, had a casual relationship, or even a friends-with-benefits situation while his first love was away for six years?
Instead of forcing a fake girlfriend storyline, why not make it a casual relationship or friends-with-benefits arrangement that naturally ends once his first love returns? That feels far more believable.
Realistic adult relationships don’t make a love story less romantic they make it more convincing. It is not just this drama. It happens in almost all Chinese romance drama. Script writers, we are not all kids leaving in bubbles. It is okay for adults to have multiple relationships😂
Common that was a hoax. She knows he would change his mind when she pulls that stunt. He was determined to drive her away and she was determined to stay and she knows he would not sell. That’s her last shot
Many people just can not stand when women act like adults. If you watch this show without infantizing the ML, you will see clearly that MJ is still down so bad for him and she is trying her possible best to be with him and get him out of the shit hole he is in despite his numerous attempts to send her away. She may not be doing it in a way that makes her look vulnerable or cutesy like most people always want women to be, but she is doing well and he will come around.
I love MJ’s character and I don’t understand what people are bitching about. lol. You want her to be begging him and be doing puppy eyes? The ML needs a tough hand so he can get his life together. He wronged her first by deciding what school, city she should go without her consent and also ended things with her abruptly without any consideration of her feelings.
Please where did MJ try to sell his house? I saw some people wailing about it and I have watched until episode 15 and I watched no such thing. What is the anger about?
If they bring women’s legal to 13, some of you will approve and use it to defend them acting a romance scenes with 30yr old male. That’s my take home point from the gross defence. Oh China’s legal age is 18🤡🤡🤡. So ma’am if China’s legal age becomes 13 tomorrow, what will you do again? Make another case for why it is not wrong for 13yr old to be casted to play lover with a 28yr old? You people are even gaslighting us like she had already turned 18 before the filming meanwhile she would be 18 in a few days. Still 17. Filming may have started a year ago ooo
This drama is silly but I like it. My first time watching the ML in costume drama. I don’t understand the death plot. I think they should have just left it at her surviving a near death experience than this soul merging whatever.
That’s exactly what I planned on doing but the people under my comment have refused to let me move on. I had already started watching blossom of power. I came to check which of them to watch…
that's only your personal preference, why would you give 1 just because of this! have you at least considered…
They are just telling lies through their teeth. She hasn’t turned 18. She would be 18 in the next few days. They probably filmed this when she was even 16 going to 17
