That’s not true. Boys in that age bracket can very well play general. What makes it a laughing stock is that the Asian industry always choose aesthetic over everything else. They want generals to be super skinny, pretty and idol looking. That’s the problem. The adult males they cast also do not give general so nothing changes anyway. Only very few males look like an actual general. Choosing to protect a minor nonetheless is a much better outcome. There are 20/21 year old females who can play this role as well. So many of them.

I don’t care how good the drama is. I just want film makers to know that it is not okay casting minors with adults for certain roles. I don’t want it normalise and I don’t want to contribute to the success at all.

A bunch of you are hypocrites. I know many of you defending this will not defend an almost 30yr old woman having romance scenes with a minor. Never ever. Even when older female leads is paired with men they are just a few years older than and who are not minors by the way, you lots are often displeased but here you are defending a 17yr old acting romance with an almost 30yr old male. Gross!!!

A minor is not supposed to act romance scenes with an adult male who is almost 30. If she must be the one to act that role, then a male in the same age bracket should be casted. It is simple. Nobody has anything against the actress. It is very easy to exploit adult females in entertainment industry, how much more a minor.

I would pass. I can’t watch a 17yr old doing romance with a 28yr old. She may be 15/16 when they filmed this. There are other actress that will kill this role. Why a minor? Or why didn’t they cast a male that is maybe 18/19 for this role if they so much like the FL.

My comment is not a Stanship comment. Everyone would not feel the same way about certain projects or actors/actresses. I have watched her work and I did not like any. Stopped most half way. What is toxic in sharing my own experience? Do you enjoy every actor and actresses?
