If you want to see this concept done well - watch Alice in Borderland
What is to like: the cast and set design is very good quality. What I don't like:
The idea of the games according to the 'host' was to make them equal. They were anything but equal, just take the last game (crossing the bridge) as the perfect example - people that picked the first numbers had 0% chance of survival, whilst those at the end had almost guaranteed survival.
The 'organ selling' sub-plot went no-where.
The main charater was sold to us as this guy down on his luck. This is incorrect, he was just a pathetic gambling addict. I was actually happy his daughter was taken away. Not a character to root for.
I'm only writing this to make some people aware that this drama is just overhyped because it was produced in a more 'americanised' style. There weren't any signature korean OSTs to remember and there were a lot of senseless deaths (this is all too common in american shows). Overall, as a show it is pretty average but for a korean show it is pretty disappointing. Like the title says - Alice in Borderland beats this drama by a large margin for me.

The reviews hit harder than the comedy in the drama
This is the first time I am writing a review and only because I am so had at wasting the hours of my life to watch this thingTo get the positive out of the way: the casting was great and the outfits were especially beautiful.
Onto the rest:
The plot is predictable and makes no sense. There were all the usual twists and you could see it coming a mile away had you watched other korean dramas. The motivation for going back in time makes no sense and the main character seemingly just forgets the origianl ML from the past.
The last 2 episodes were filler as they had absolutely no effect on the ending. They cried, she spent some time in the past rejecting the original Tae Ha after she got her win and then she came back to the 21st century and got married yet again. This series could have really ended around the 10th episode.

Solid drama, stellar cast
If you want a fluffy, cute and no bullshit kdrama this is the one.The cast do a very good job, especially the ML who transformed into the character completely. He gained around 10kg for this role and it actually looks really good on him. The concept of wrestling is new and different (at least to me as a westerner) so it felt like learning rules to a brand new game.
The love story was great - very light-hearted. The b plot is also good but overall this is more of a slice of life series so don't do expecting them to focus too much on the mystery is my only advice.

Slow and typical for a superhero series
The pacing was so slow that it was hard to get through the entire series. The first couple of episodes are a Naruto-style set up, where it feels like we are stuck in the same fight for 30 episodes. By the time time the main story line started I was bored, and the build up to the finale felt predictable.I am only posting a review because I don't understand how it is rated so well on here. 9.1? For a standard superhero story? Sure this drama is absolute genius compared to the garbage Disney releases nowadays, but for a Korean drama it felt a little dry to me. It would be more fair for this to be rated 8.5.

Gritty and brilliant
They say usually the source material is usually better than the movie production - that is not the case here. The series is as good, if not better than the webtoon, with outstanding acting and great plot. Jihoon did a really great portrayal of his character, so much so it's hard to tell he's an idol actor. I watched the drama twice in one sitting when it came out and am on the edge of my seat for Season 2.The ending of the first episode is shocking and unexpected. The rest of the show is exactly like that - the plot does not disappoint.
