After GGF, I really hope to see tian xiwei in more modern dramas like lovely us and this one. I've missed seeing…
She's currently filming a modern, business war drama lol with wei da xun. She's going to play a wealthy heiress, I've seen spoiler pics of her outfits and she looks stunning 😁

I actually think it would be realistic for Duan Qi and Ting Ting not to end together, because lbr, not everyone…
Agree, I feel like while they've got the spark and have the best time as friends, they're both fiery and also clash too much, they probably need a partner who's more patient and understanding.

I don't know why, but I absolutely adore this type of drama; if you know what I mean
I think it's a breath of fresh air, it's unlike a typical fast paced intense romance. I actually enjoying seeing that love doesn't mean it has to start with fireworks and burn brightly, the platonic friends to romantic partners seem a lot more realistic and romantic to me šŸ˜†

Ppl complaining about the lack of romance but I’m still here for the friendship lol I’m loving the group and…
I think this show is great for people who prefer more realistic, grounded shows and have the patience and don't mind the slow burn. I actually really enjoy that šŸ˜†

Not gonna lie, the ML was so selfish when she was telling his about her problem, he didn't give a f*ck and dismissed…
Ultimately, after reading through so many comments I came to the conclusion that this drama just can't please everyone šŸ˜† from reading most of the negative feedback on chinese social media, it was clear that people were unhappy that the female lead isn't invincible and that she's not superwoman.

They were already so pissed that our male lead won the maths comp, because apparently this is supposed to be a strong female led drama and in the novel lin zhi xia never loses. So imagine if jiang yu bai took over the conversation and told her exactly what to do at work, despite not having uni experience, how bad the backlash would be šŸ˜†

Anyway that aside, I got the feeling from the gist of the convo between lzx and jyb is, lzx already knew what to do, she just needed some steering to see that she already had the solution. Jyb was just dropping hints so she could see it, without him directly telling her what to do. I don't think that's a bad thing at all, because he respects her enough to let her solve her own issues in her own way rather than telling her how to do things. After all she has a phd, and he probably thinks she has more experience. He hasn't been through uni or done any research projects with others, why should he be telling her what to do šŸ˜…

As a native mandarin speaker, I watched it without eng subtitles and I actually didn't get the feeling that he was being dismissive at all. I feel like the direct translation to eng sometimes distorts the feeling and vibe of the interaction lol He was listening to her the entire time, by getting her to hand him the tools and engaging her in what he's doing as well, he was getting her to feel and think calmly. I thought he was trying to trying to make a point that her feelings and mood are the most important here.

Anyway sorry for the long ass analysis šŸ˜†

I started this drama not knowing what to expect. Honestly, the synopsis doesn't reveal too much, but I love it!

I love not knowing where the story is going. Yu aoi is brilliant as always, and Nakajima ayumu is so different here compared to his villain role in Straight to hell. They both have so much chemistry.

The only bad thing is netflix is slowly releasing episodes just to torture us! Argh 🫠

All these dramas promoting university degree thinking it's the only way to be successful and rich, but so many…
Yes unfortunately, in some asian countries, going to university is a minimum requirement. A degree and the type of university you go to could affect the rest of your life, your status, whether people respect you, your job and marriage prospects etc.

You could be making a lot of money, more than a uni grad but people will still look down on you if you don't have a degree. It sucks and I don't agree with it, but yea that's how it is 🄲 That's why students study like crazy over there and the pressure and competition is immense.

The drama isn't necessarily trying to promote that idea, it's just reality for a lot of young people out there. And if you're making a drama based on chinese schooling, it has to be as accurate as possible.

Can any currently watcher say how they are liking this drama? I'm debating if I should start it. All I have been…
I don't think his looks bothered me that much here. He looks mature but certainly not a big deal like some are making it out to be.

Besides, they grow into adulthood at some point so it's not that out of place.

And yes to your question, it's worth a watch. I think this is one of my favourites this year šŸ˜
