Really. You shouldn't label. You should take into account circumstances and actions which led to certain reactions.…
this 👍. i did say earlier that words have consequences and one should choose their words wisely. he provoked Lu Feng out of his hurt. he gave you the key and you take your own sweet time and then barge into the room and leave in anger without hearing the full story. they actually never talked about what mattered.
I think that’s exactly what he expected. The problem is that Lu Feng loved him so unconditionally for so long…
ok. i haven't scene the trailer but I get the scene. for me it wasn't manipulation but something dear of Lu Feng he wanted it to be with him. kind of a reminder of their previous sweet love for himself rather than Lu Feng.

what is it that is more deeper than hate .. this is what they each felt at one point of time, given all the betrayal and torture/humiliation, they had come to think that they hated each other.
Even if his dying mother told him to marry a woman, why did he stay married to her even after his mother died?…
interesting. would he have forgiven the no good bye separation when he came back after giving up inheritance looking for him? call it 5 years or 20 years, still it's a long time. would he forgive that he was always kept at the last for consideration after the mother brother? actually yes eventually. but he would have wanted to get back at him for these things before forgiving. but we never see it that way in the book atleast. there was no forgiveness just that I let go now
agreed except for the last part. i do not think she realised even in the end ( the book doesn't even have this scene).it could be that I m sorry.l but i had to do it. I am ready to believe this more than- sorry that I ruined your life.

i have come to realise that none of the them is toxic (not following the society standards) as they both get together in the end. why would anyone choose to be with a toxic person. all i see is the deep love ( i have said this earlier as well). it's just the situations (created by them or otherwise)were not favorable and then their choices in those situations.i do understand why they did what they did.

it's very heartbreaking to read this part. he missed him n he realised all the hate is gone now.he just wanted to take a look at him even from afar. once he was denied this, he then decided not to see him. he just bought all the newspapers which had Lu Feng's photos n watched all news thinking that's the closest he can get to him. He did realise he was the one to leave without saying goodbye. he also thinks it's been 20 years and there's nothing anymore between them. but ofcourse the series has a new take on it. i liked when some commented he went without glasses to attract attention. the book doesn't cover almost more than a decade. but whatever was covered i do think he did not forget Lu Feng ever.
I would not call it obsession. he was deeply in love and was fighting for his love from the world and Xiao Chen…
this is my take - when he saw his love of the life being about to be violated, he took action. was it too excessive - even he would not have known. but what would he have done with 4 against 2 n yes one of them is the same guy who stabbed broken bottle in him. Yup he forced Xiao Chen when provoked - it was expected of him the kind of person he is. He tied him up - he thought he could solve the problem. He is not one to go and force himself upon anyone. it was anger which ofcourse is bad but people do bad things when in anger. Xiao Chen let it go, we see it in next episodes. it's Xiao Chen who has a say in it, that's what I think.
