all i see is how deeply they are in iove with each other. the situations are cruel and they are handling it as it comes. thrown into such situations at such young age has made them their selves more extreme.

it will be clear in the third part of the book. it showed a side of Lu Feng and a precursor to what's gonna happen later. a lot of would not make sense unless the audience understands the deep love they had for each other. not everything that happens later is love - it's revenge too but in all for me it actually comes down to their deep love for each other. maybe once you have seen all of it then coming back to these ep may make sense. i had seen the movie before and read the books recently so I am saying what I feel about them. yes, the assault didn't have any impact as it was never discussed in the book from Xiao Chen's point of view.

this actually made me ponder on those relationships where the girls keep going back to the abusive lover. in their series/book, it was knowing he is not well that made him go back to him. he was genuinely in love and love is forgiving (to what length depends on each person and is different for every person). Xiao Chen wanted to leave that incident behind and move forward. no one can stop him from doing it as it was between him and Lu Feng. is this romanticizing? No, cos this is one situation, there would be another situation where it is being romanticized, should someone care? no - it's a fiction. in reality people get more sensitive but ultimately who is one to judge when it's between those other two. one is free to choose when it's them in that situation.

that's being human. some choose wisely some not. idea is to learn and go forward. maturity is to know when not to engage (not commenting on you) but I can understand when one would like to have such kinda fun. 😉
