Who are you referring to when you say that? Personally, in the study group, the one with the red hair doesn't…
Yeah, I thought he was a staff member hitting on a student, and I was like, "Why is everyone okay with this?" (Though I guess why wouldn't they be? If they let fighting like that go down, too, then why split hairs? π€·ββοΈ), then I realized he's a student. How can a student "serve" on a disciplinary committee, though? Does that even make any sense? π
I sometimes wonder how kids that cuss this much are able to code switch when necessary (aka for jobs where you have to be professional) since the words become reflexes of their vocabulary. π
That said, most of the kids in THIS drama probably aren't getting the sorts of jobs they'd need to code switch for anyway. π
Yun Ga Min's tenacity and perseverance should be applauded lol. Also, he's so oblivious at times that it's hard…
He's a weird mixture of perceptive and oblivious. It works beautifully here, and he's extremely adorable, but you only find people like this in fiction. π
NOT GAMIN GOING TO THE WRONG SCHOOL LMAO oh my poor boy just give him a break.. He was so excited to meet the…
But it's also kind of the perfect school π; he can put his fighting skills to use and fight for those who can't AND the students he's recruiting actually want him in their study group (because they like him as a person and want to be friends with him), whereas students at all the other schools wouldn't be seen with him or even give him a chance because his grades were so poor. π
I was wondering why Se Hyeon was so smiley when they found out that a "Lee Ji Woo" wanted to be in their study group at the end of Episode 2. The last scene made it all make sense. π
Loved how they played with the lack of gender specificity in some Korean names to launch us into expectancy for the next episode. π
Haha, thanks. It feels more like a School drama than Weak Hero Class 1 to me because of the teacher that cares (Weak Hero didn't have a single adult who cares or even bothers about the kids, from what I remember. No one gave a darn! It drove me nuts.). The School dramas always have a teacher that cares about the kids and fights against the corrupt admininstration/parents alongside the students.π
Why did Fan Xian spit up blood in his room once Yan Xiaoyi left (after Fan Xian escaped the palace with Uncle…
That's true, martial artists in Cdramas do tend to get a lof of internal injuries. π
Fascinating about the spitting blood trend. It's definitely the "catch-all" way to tell us "that person is ill/hurt." (Like the way Kdramas show people who are "sick/overworked/distressed, etc." getting nosebleeds.) Another is the way they feel a woman's pulse to see if she's pregnant in costume Kdramas/Cdramas; a ridiculous, fabricated medical technique. π
I saw some people comparing it to weak hero class 1. is it worth watching? thanks in advance.
So far it's better than Weak Hero Class 1 (in my opinion); this is actually setting up a more realistic premise and scenario for violence like this at a school, and already the mains are sweet and adorable. Also not as heavy as Weak Hero. Deals with heavy stuff, but in a more lighthearted way because the ML is an adorable, kindhearted dweeb. π
I kinda want to watch Meteor Garden now, just to see Dylan Wang play a polar opposite character to XQA, but I heard it was removed from Netflix. π Alas! Sad day. My timing is terrible!
I've made my way through all the BOFs in some form or fashion except the Taiwanese and Chinese versions. Someday, I guess! πββοΈ
Is it okay to skip this season to move on to S3 for YYS?
Probably not. You won't know who the leads are, as YYS only appears for part of Season 3. This is also the best Season of the three (in my opinion). π I liked it better than Season 1.
That said, most of the kids in THIS drama probably aren't getting the sorts of jobs they'd need to code switch for anyway. π
That's what we see here, yes? I don't think it's wrongly represented.

Another is Dr. Romantic; Season 2 is better than Season 1 in my opinion. π
