Apparently in the next episode we will find out the true reason as to why their relationship changed so much comparted…
That's good news! I still felt like there was more to it than what was indicated by the date of her phone password, even though that already explains a lot.
Well K-dramas are only meant for that. Even the most realistic k-dramas doesn't represent the realistic life of…
I don't know about the working hours (I've just heard they work insane hours in Asia in general), but I agree that distractions play a role, too. Kids are a lot more work than vegging on your phone. :)
Got it, I was hoping for a different vibe than Business Proposal, so that's good news for me. We'll see, maybe I'll give this a shot. :) Thanks for responding!
Hyun Woo cycling around town felt cozy. It was a much more visually interesting way for him to find her than with his car. I really liked that artistic choice. It kind of felt like we went back in time in those shots.
Everything asides i couldn't find the core of hae in characterisation, how her character became so distant i think…
I think Hae In isn't setting boundaries because she doesn't even think of the 2ML in a romantic sense at all. Their meetings are just business to her. To the point where she even seems kind of clueless of the fact that Eun Seong is very obviously trying to aggravate Hyun Woo and make him jealous.
For me it is 9 when it is about the leads.About 6.5 when it is about side characters and sub-plots.So, overall,…
This was my main issue with CLOY. Whenever I rewatch I skip a lot of the side characters' scenes. So far this one hasn't been too bad, though. But I could see myself skipping their scenes on a future rewatch once I don't need them to know the plot. π
How people can compare both dramas ? writer is same that means story is not same cast is not same you can give…
So far this does feel different from CLOY, but it might feel more like it as it progresses. CLOY blended romance and action/thriller elements and mystery, and I think this will do the same plus more chaebol/family angst. Some have been saying this feels more makjang-esque due to the emphasis on all the family dynamics. To me, it still feels cleverer with a higher budget and less sordid than a makjang. I started liking the FL a few episodes into CLOY and liked the ML immediately. This drama, instead, ushers you into the main leads' story in a compelling way but hasn't fully endeared the characters to us yet (in my opinion), but she's starting to make them more likeable as the episodes progress. :) The premise of the show is that this starts at roughly their lowest point, so the leads' chemistry/interaction only improves from there.

But this drama is also showing that marriage (even fantastical ones like this) are hard. That could also scare people off from it. π Why have romance with a real human who makes life harder (and really awesome when things are going well, but also harder) when you can just watch them? That is probably many people's takeaways from Kdramas. I don't think any Kdrama could ever successfully promote real people doing real things, it usually promotes... watching more Kdramas. Entertainment rarely pushes us to action, and instead pushes us back to more entertainment.
So, good luck SK, if that's what you're trying. Make working hours shorter instead, and that might do more to help. π€·ββοΈ
The ending to IRIS ( my first kdrama with a bad ending) wrecked me and I became someone that loved spoilers so…
The same thing happened to me with Mr. Sunshine! I now do spoilers for the endings of dramas that are completely released so I don't have to feel that way again. π
Some Kdrama either make it big only in South Korea or only internationally. For example My Demon was only big…
Oh dear, even on a non-My Demon comment thread the My Demon quality debate continues... *sigh* I think we can at least all agree it succeeded in making people feel strongly about it, one way or the other. π
I'm loving this so far, but I finally articulated something that was puzzling me but I couldn't put into words. Giving it a go:
While we have yet to see more of their time together before things went up in flames, Hae In has to have noticed/seen that their marriage is not what it was. Duh. (She's not THAT oblivious). But now that he's suddenly making these sweet, out-of-character gestures here and there, she's seeing confirmation of his love for her (which maybe even he doesn't realize yet he's showing her π ). However, how is she still not seeing the disconnect in his behavior in avoiding physical contact, his awkwardness with kissing rather than the eagerness you think she'd expect if he were still in love? Maybe it has to do with her asking herself why she wasn't confident? She's been acting assured and confident of hisblove, but maybe she is really just getting flattered/tickled and hoping against hope it's true (kind of like what happened with Hyun Woo but in reverse in Episode 4?)?
The other scene that actually felt out of place in this episode since our ML is making progress with his feelings, is the scene where he fantasizes about her surviving, runs around the park screaming in frustration, and flops on the bed in defeat. This felt kind of out of tune with the newer Hyun Woo we've been seeing. Anyone else think so? That's why I said below that he seems super confused by himself right now. π
The end of Episode 4, though, made me think we're going to get more scenes hopefully soon with them being more honest with each other moving forward...
I imagine the mystery will soon be dispelled, but I realized I was struggling to piece these parts together, and wondered if any of you had thoughts that could help me organize my thoughts. :)
