Oh no please stay on My Demon page. Don't come here π
And you use the app, too? Huh. Sometimes it does do funky things, but the one time I tried it it definitely didn't work. But I might unblock that person anyway because it was only on one comment thread that I wanted to escape their "hamster wheel" commenting. π They've seemed tamer on other drama comment threads.
Yep, this is probably gonna be a pass for me; all the recommendations are dramas I should have liked (because they're well done and the actors are all fantastic), but didn't. π
Someone needs to tell me what on earth I was thinking when, back when it was airing, I dropped Under the Queen's…
Yes, why did you? π It's one of the best of the best as far as sageuks go, and just an excellent drama that tackles a time period done to death with some fresh new perspectives and emphasis (like the emphasis on the queen (and her wisdom and smarts) rather than the king, and all the adorable brothers). Such good stuff!
I'm waiting to see how this one ends before I start it. :)
Oh boy, SML good guy. Good luck with that.. :)This is not a drama for second male leads. That's all I'm gonna…
A couple of her other dramas had sketchy 2MLs who were morally gray rather than evil. But they were definitely not the sweet, likeable guys you get 2ML syndrome for. Her 2MLs at least placate those who hate the love triangles. π
Haters of love triangles, never fear; Park Ji Eun's got your back.
Liked the first two episodes as the ML and FL have good chemistry. I've always liked Kim Ji Won especially in…
I wonder if the 2ML has a bigger scheme afoot, and "romancing" the FL has something to do with it? He needs to get her where he wants her, or something like that? But he most certainly seems shady.
That's what more episodes are for. :) Right now they're turning the soil and planting seeds. I'm sure there will…
There's definitely more to it than what appears to be the case; this is a classic Kdrama move of withholding important information that will be pieced together later, but also, some of this is the black comedy coming through. You're supposed to see that he felt like a caged, trapped animal looking for an escape in Episode 1, and now he sees a way out. THAT'S what he's happy about. It's not like he's plotting her murder.
Also, when you get distanced from a spouse (and so jaded in your connection to them) to the point that you want to divorce them, you're probably not going to be that bothered by the thought of them dying, especially if they don't seem sick at all. So, to him at this point, it doesn't feel real (which is what the drama is taking advantage of to showcase some tweaked humor so that we're aware of how desperate he is and start squirming for him to change and become a better person). So yeah, instead of going the obvious route and making it heavy and serious, they're playing it for laughs; but I'm confident he will feel VERY differently soon.
Meaning the humor is trying to get you to laugh at stuff that isn't usually funny because it's dealing with sad/or heavy stuff (like death or illness or racism or abuse, etc.). The tags warned viewers that that type of humor would be present in this drama. It's not everyone's cup of tea!
I'm born cuteHe said he was playing homage to KJW - ae-rahttps://www.instagram.com/reel/C4cbqSPL1mv/?igsh=MWU0OHVmbTc2aGd1MQ==
Oh, that's so cute and hilarious! And her aegyo in that was SO famous.
I think KSY's drunk scene in this is going in the books, too. Leave it to Soo Hyun to make a drunk scene amongst one of hundreds upon hundreds of drunk Kdrama scenes become iconic and stand out. π
