this random ass love triangle??
πŸ˜‚ But when is there not? A Kdrama rom-com with no love triangle is a rare specimen. In my experience, you've got to go into Kdrama rom-coms expecting love triangles, and then just be pleasantly surprised when they don't happen. 😏

the scene with all the husband in laws is actually hilarious
Yes, I kind of loved it. SO funny seeing the roles reversed. Seeing then all complaining... πŸ˜… it was super entertaining.

I'll just say, the mere existence of a character does not make it a love triangle. Hae In has zero interest in…
Especially with how long the episodes have been!

This is a pretty daring drama in some respects. For a drama that is pitched as a romance, to set its 2 main leads…
I agree that they are changing up the tropes and cliches we're used to, but flawed characters (with "human frailties") are often featured in Kdramas. It's one of the things I love about them; I love the way many build a character's arc over the 12-16 eposodes. Maybe BOTH leads being this flawed is less common, but it's certainly more common in the family/makjang dramas (which this seems to be leaning into heavily; I liked virtually no one in My Father Is Strange until quite a ways into the drama). It's certainly different than how this screenwriter normally writes, too, so I'm curious to see how it progresses. I've always thought one of her writing strengths was creating many likable characters who you can root for that feel very cozy together. So, this could be a really fun journey or, it could fall flat cause she's venturing too far out of her writing sweet spot. Time will tell, I suppose!

The therapist then calls his wife because he realizes that he is lucky compared to the ML πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
And she thinks he's trolling her so she hangs up. πŸ˜‚

The drunk scene is hilarious🀣
Don't usually like the drunk scenes (every Kdrama has them) but this one genuinely made me howl. "I'm too cute!" And he was so sad about it. 🀣 Also, the part where he mentions how he already has a ride home and his friend is puzzled as to how that's possible ("Do you want me to prove it?"), then Hyun Woo mournfully shows how two guys are shadowing him 24/7 so he can't create a scandal. That's when I died.

Before starting this, I wanted to know is it will be a tragic ending/sad ending? Knowing that the fl has some…
This screenwriter has more of a track record with open or ambiguous endings (CLOY, MLFAS) than sad endings, I'd say. I'm hoping for something like Legend Of The Blue Sea as far as endings go. 🀞

Title Queen of Tears Spoiler
yess the actress said that she'll die within the 3-4months period, and she's looking full mommy material btw
I don't think we know enough to really know if it's a lie or the truth that she's terminally ill. It could be a way for her to get him to stay with her, because I bet she's heard rumors about him wanting a divorce. We definitely need more of her perspective.

I have to say, it was kind of satisfying and hilarious to watch the hubby suffer from the insufferable family for a change. I thoroughly enjoy how they're switching the typical gender roles of the chaebol heir and their hard-working partner with the sweet personality. πŸ˜‚ And both leads are selling it really well, too!

The cameo from IOTNBO was cute, too. ☺️

Because it has a different trope, rekindling the sparks after Marriage.
Yes, I just got a kick out of how fast it was. The only other drama I could think of where someone moved that fast was Dong Joo in Dr. Romantic. πŸ˜…

Omg they should have made ML gay which was theme of Thai BL WEDDING PLANNER . The thai series was also closeted…
Um, Thai dramas and Korean dramas are quite different... I think comparing them is a bit like comparing apples and oranges; both are fruit, but that's where the comparison ends. 😏

But Do Han is not the ML, right? He's the 2ML, and often 2MLs don't end up with anyone or get a loveline (that's…
Now that's a plot I'd expect of a Thai drama. 😏 But I don't even think a Korean makjang could get away with that plot. πŸ˜†

This show is anything but gay. I dont know how much it is discussed in webtoon but in series it is as if they…
If it were a BL, it would probably be advertised more overtly as a BL, and isn't this a tvN drama? Do BLs even air on tvN? My impression is SK keeps the mainstream dramas quite distinct from BLs, usually (unless it's a Netflix drama).

Whenever I'd see clips from this drama with the two of them from various episodes, they were always the same:…
Interesting. Yeah, I've watched some of the most highly rated Cdramas, and did like them for the most part, but the way the MLs are portrayed sometimes doesn't sit well with me, and everything feels so pristine and perfect to the point where it kind of feels like the characters live in a fantasy world; it doesn't feel real.

When I think about starting another Cdrama, I get scared off after reading comments that reinforce my reservations about the portrayals of MLs. I read the same things over and over on different threads for Cdramas even though most people don't seem bothered by the pushyness that is shown.

I admit to being a bit annoyed with Yin Guo every time she dodged LYY’s kisses but I don't think she wanted…
Whenever I'd see clips from this drama with the two of them from various episodes, they were always the same: the ML trying to be lovey-dovey and cuddle and the FL playing coy. I became curious if the pattern would change but it seemed to continue for quite some time. I didn't even watch the drama and was getting annoyed. πŸ˜‚

I've only seen a few Cdramas, but all the MLs have been on some spectrum of aggressive/pushy, and not at the beginning of the relationship, but when things got more intimate, and often when the FL seemed indisposed or uncomfortable with being so. Instead of in Kdramas where they usually show the aggression as a flaw to grow from early on in the MLs's arc (Kdramas have had their fair share of toxic MLs, but they're mostly older dramas), the Cdramas just give the aggression of the MLs softer edges and make them charming at the same time which makes them appear more romantic; I'm not sure how I feel about it... πŸ€”. Dare I say these portrayals sometimes smack more of sexual fantasies than healthy romance? I'm probably going to get eaten alive for saying so, but I can't shake the unease I have felt periodically while watching some seemingly "romantic" scenes in some Cdramas...
