this was such a beautiful drama. i went in expecting fluff and a web series kind of a vibe but i was left shook. this was one of my favorite sagueks. ofcourse i took this as a modernised sageuk and thats how its intended on being taken as. one of my favorite female leads. love how they showed such a strong female historian who even though loved, but did not want to sacrifice her dreams for that love. but she did justice to her love too. this isnt a romance drama. sure there is romance, a lot of it, but its much more than that. this drama beautifully portrays how strong some women in history despite harsh times and customs probably have been. and i love how they made a drama about historians. made me view history so differently and im left with so much respect for historians.
also im so proud of cha eun woo! he grew so much as an actor during the course of this drama. he started off a little weak but that was all in the past till episode 3. his acting was amazing following that point! cant wait to see him in more dramas!!!! <3 9/10

she liked the male lead, from the beginning who was a professor , she was never in a relationship with the brother ian. ian liked her, but he knew she was in a one sided love with his brother. the male lead had no idea who she was though and he did not remember her. nam joo wan didnt kill ian, he saved ian and the FL escape, but she accidentally stabbed ian while on the run from the guy with the scar on his hand. ian didnt diefrom the stab wound. he sent the FL away and professor kang killed him by running him over with his car. altho nam joo wan did kill the guy with the scar on his hand later. o.O

yes exactly. even the mystery part got way too dragged. it was all so obvious but the killers kept denying it in a way you would be thrown off the course for a while thinking maybe theres a twist involved, but nope. its sad, this show had so much potential.
personally i would say no. its a waste of time. the romance is forced, everything is based on lies and reenactments and theres no real relationship between the leads. the story is draggy and the writing is bad. absolutely a waste of time.

and the guy leaves without telling the girl and then comes back a year later and she accepts him super easily. super messed up, unrealistic and cliched. ugh.
this drama had a fantastic start. the chemistry was good, the acting was superb the pace was good, the plot was mysterious and interesting. but it got way too dragged, the chemistry was killed, the suspense felt forced and by the last episode, the romance felt absolutely unnecessary. even cringey. had great potential but was ruined after a few episodes and i feel like the drag made the actors not relate to the characters anymore because the acting felt awkward too. its sad because the cast was so good and so was the plotline.
the ending scene breaks my heart over and over. what a fantastic disaster movie! from acting to direction, everything was perfect! BRILLIANT A VERY EASY 10/10
he's literally one of the best actors in the industry and most definitely my absolute favorite! he got me into kdramas with Secret! loved every drama he starred in ever since!! just finished doctor john! <3 hope to see you in more works soon!
after episode 12 it was hard for me to finish this. it felt dragged even while binge watching. waas skipping a lot of parts towards the end. its a good drama but i think 16 episodes were too much for this story. should have been wrapped in 10 episodes.
Why hotel del Luna ending was expected I found it logical
it was and i loved the ending. it was the most fitting. but that doesn't mean it wasnt bittersweet and didn't make me slightly sad. chan seong was left alone and that was sad.
But angel last mission was a happy ending... wasn’t it?
