Ugh....this was such a rage bait drama throughout...from start to finish. Initially, I seen a video clip of it…
Spot on, saved me heaps of time typing my rant! 81 episodes was a bit much with only 1 plot device...Can't believe Lee Sang Yeob is acting in vertical drama now and he was the reason I kept watching coz I trusted he surely has a bottom line but nope!
I'm loving Ren Min in this! That drama with Xiao Zhan did not let her bring out her acting chops.
The leads chemistry shone through in Rise of Ning but here I feel they tried too hard to cover ML's darker skin that the makeup makes him look casket ready.
hi guys hope u're fine , lately I'm soo bored , I want to rematch this cdrama but I still remember the plot ,…
Have you watched Love's rebellion? Not quite traditional xianxia but I think it was underrated and I enjoyed the leads chemistry. It has ost that's quite similar to this drama and the chilled storytelling like here
I thought all this time I've been watching in 4K on IQIYI but today it wouldn't let me. Only 1080P! Other shows on same app still in 4K. Anyone else experienced this???
Whenever I rewatch this drama I feel bad for wasting my time on other dramas whose writing cannot touch 3% of this. This is the only time I would say 73 episodes were truly not enough! What a masterpiece 👏🏼
What do people mean when they say the plot was weak.??? The 'SOUL MANOR' was the plot, and oh my did the leads deliver in this often difficult onscreen romance and multiple kisses🤭. I'm definitely not complaining 😅... Infact, I'm eternally grateful for CFY and WYL and the person who cast them together ❤️
I am a fan of Yang² but.....this one missed the mark for me especially after all the hype. The cinematography reminded me of 2017 dramas including the female cast's makeup, FL was not spared! Also, if the show doesn't give enough airtime to women its just best to say there isn't any FL otherwise it creates wrong expectations.
As for the plot, I felt I wasn't quite sold on Han Li's motivations as in it failed to resonate with me. It was quite an emotionless experience with all the mechanical aspects but lacking heart. And I do not mean romance, it was actually going to be awkward considering the leads' lack of chemistry.
Perhaps the storytelling was too linear with the production trying to go through as much chapters as possible without adding the necessary elements to make it a wholesome experience. As much as I liked Nirvana in Fire it also suffered from this. By episode 22 NIF lost some spark for me whereas with this show I dont really think I ever experienced the spark with only my love for Yang² spurring me to finish it. It wasn’t a disaster but it wasn't great either.
To those who love it, I'm sorry I dont mean harm but I needed to let this out otherwise I might go crazy...sorry:(

The drama still is a 10 for me so far!
