I really want to finish this but seems the creators dont know where humor and annoyance starts or ends. Sometimes you can tell when these producers don't watch dramas for entertainment. Iam a huge fan esp of ML so I'm really hoping it gets better
I suppose the cdrama gods figured I had it easy this year with some of the ultimate green forest MLs and instead decided to surprise me with the reddest of red flags straight from Mars itself 😳.....and I'm hooked 🙆♀️
I don't know why people go out of their way to dislike positive dramas that dont have the usual unnecessary misunderstandings. I've watched lots of dramas and there aren't many of those out there like this one. They have intelligent and witty dialogue, lets not forget that it wasn't easy for the characters to find common ground to begin with. I love how they show the couples interactions after they get together and dont rely on usual overdone tropes.
This one will always hold a special place in my heart. P/s I have liked AASOL, WIFTY, Meet Yourself, Story of Minglan(epic masterpiece!) and many more
Whilst I'm a big fan of the 2 leads, it took me months to finally resume the drama from where I'd put on-hold at ep 13 and finally finish it! Quite an exhausting watch in the last episodes! Dislike chaotic writing that never allows the viewer to experience peaceful moments with the characters. Convenient writing to advance plot. I really had high expectations for this one.
You can tell when these producers and directors do not really watch dramas....duh
Whilst I loved the leads I feel the Emperor and Empress stole the show in the 2nd half of the series. I dont know why the writer/director decided to tone down the leads' affection from when they parted ways until the end. The wedding was fantastic and could have been the perfect opportunity to rekindle their chemistry which unfortunately didn't happen much. On the other hand I loved the tense chemistry between Emperor and Empress. They're both great at expressing the emotions their characters were going through. When they announced she was dead I was actually heartbroken 💔😢
this show sometimes drags, then moves normally and again drags a lot. but still, it's ok. But what i hate is when…
I'm totally with you on this. CXZ's actions and thoughts have been clearly justified at every step, a whole 3-d person, but we don't get a full picture of what LMT's feelings are from her perspective making her only 2 dimensional. Hopefully they'll address that in the upcoming episodes
Cdrama land has dished out some really good romance shows this year and I am eternally grateful. Back here again reminiscing some of the best scenes + OSTs 💯
I loved their OST. I don't know why some were complaining that SRQ had a better OST.
Glad to see you here! The complaints people had abt this show were ridiculous 😅. I, on the other hand was having the time of my life....romance plus politics plus ZLH and ZJM 👌♥️... couldn't ask for better tbh
Y'all keep posting these without addressing my initial concern, which is the way FL character was written.
I haven't read the book and my analysis is going by what was presented in the drama. Can't read every book for every drama that I watch realistically speaking.
I am however concerned about your psychological analysis of women who grow up without fathers. What makes you think this situation is worse for women??? This is the sort of underlying mysogynsm that I initially said is a running theme in the writing. Boys are affected too, hell anyone is affected when they grow up without a parent whether male/female. Rationalisation of FL's actions is not what this discussion is about. The problem I have is with the premise. And of course the way the book was probably adapted to the screen possibly glossing over a lot of things that made the final product, though good by most standards still left that iffy feeling that something was amiss.
She went to inform the Yan soldiers To save Zhang Zhe who were going to fall into a trap (where the other villain was waiting with explosives)....then they were only saved because ML intervened.
It also turns out she may have misunderstood the ML that he'd killed her in her previous life again plot blaming FL for events that follow in her present life since she's scared of him therefore she foils some of his plans in the process.
It took 32 episodes before she finally understood ML's intentions, that was too much for someone who was supposed to have her wits about her. All the while still making googly eyes on 2ML. It was a little too frustrating to watch as a viewer that I almost shipped her with 2ML.
ML was probably more evil than FL but he had a 'good reason' for being so whereas FL's character there was no attempt by the writers to justify why she was like that in her previous life like why????
I love cdramas but the misogynistic writing needs to stop already. The FL always gets a character that aggravates the audience due to poor decision making....like WHY DOES IT HAPPEN IN ALMOST EVERY DRAMA????? ITS ANNOYING 😤. Some of the most beloved dramas are like this. In Joy of Life, every character was awesome except FL's. MLs, no matter how unjustified always get redeeming qualities.
I'm not asking for a perfect Female character.....but.....oh well...perhaps I need to start writing novels now 😂
This one will always hold a special place in my heart.
