Yes feng ran / feng yuan is still the empress.. the emperor in TLI is only an acting emperor… he’s the descendant or coming from the same clan as previous emperor in ALP which is a dragon clan..

In Buddhism or Taoism , dragon clan and phoenix clan both symbolize as emperor and empress of heavenly realm

Up to ep.12, the plot is not bad, it's quite interesting despite of low budget drama

Yes true i agree.. his son is pathetic (200 yo-1200 yo) in this drama… while his dad is 60K-100K yo in ALP drama. So yeah i agree his little son is pathetic 😉

Nope.. it has happy ending.. and 2nd part is not starting yet.. well it’s weird to see they downvoted lost you forever to 3.5 during airing time, they didn’t do it with other dramas at that time … it doesn’t show happy or sad yet… and 2nd part is not starting yet.. 1st part ended very well no cliffhanger lol

Hmmmm Xian xia drama is not for everyone though, so, i can’t really recommend if you aren’t interested enough with this genre.
This is just a typical xianxia classic drama

You can check lost you forever rating on IMDB it is increasing a bit than last time now 6.7.. last time 3.5 during premier… but is it make sense 6.7 compared to others back from the brink 8.3?? other dramas 8.5, 8.2 something.. even legend of anle 6.9 better than lost you forever😆… and i think Lost You forever is much much better scripted than legend of anle or back from the brink’s or love you seven times

I don’t use IMDb so i don’t know… but i heard Lost You Forever was flooded by haters on IMDB during its premiere.. i heard it from yangzi’s fans…. me myself don’t really care because i don’t even read IMDB😊

And people all know Lost You Forever is very high quality Xianxia… too bad the rating ruined by haters on IMDb

Both dramas are from different production companies. So, CGI and settings are quite different.

Gu Jin/yuan qi is the son of the ML & FL in ALP and there are other character in ALP that is in this drama too just their names are changed for copyright reason (you can check out this discussion post: https://mydramalist.com/discussions/shen-yin/121769-shen-yin-the-last-immortal-novel-content-and-its-connection-with-ancient-love-poetry if you're interested to know more detail). Both story are set in the same universe but its not essential to watch ALP before this.

It’s a youth xianxia drama… it’s quite alright ….angst begins ep.20 onwards… love triangles? Not that important

I understand.. when we watch too many xianxia dramas.. it feels like it’s nothing new anymore.. everything is almost the same.

Different platform has different standard of ratings… in MDL… 8 is considered very standard for high budget drama. When i watched this drama i did predict this drama was gonna end up between 8.1-8.3.. (depends on HE or SE) because it was not a very very wow xianxia drama anyway…..

There are many low budget and lousy dramas rated 8 (c dramas or K-dramas) or above on MDL too…i think it’s unfair if TLI rated bellow 8.. because TLi is still better than them
The proof is some of us are still staying here , unable to move on from this drama page..

Even “fan rating” or “hater ratings” also can’t reach 1,900 or 10K watchers…. You need drama lovers to justify the rating in the end

The angsts are starting from ep.20 onwards if you feel like want to pick it up again. No worries, xianxia is indeed not everyone’s cup of tea..
