If i am not mistaken here.. shu yana’s family as secret service agent was only caught in the middle between Wen chong and Qi just like there were so many secret agent died during the silk journey… it was only one of wenchong’s tactic (pawn & sacrifices) to fight Qi.. in the end Qi said it was his fault
