Ah, and that's a wrap! I'm sad this series finished. Although it disappointed me in a couple of aspects it also impressed me in others. I don't feel like I wasted my time and actually enjoyed watching this. Now I have to wait patiently for A dream within a Dream. I hope I'd see people who watched and enjoyed this series there too! That one's a rom com so we can all laugh together! (I swear if that one ends up having a tragic ending I'm swimming to China to speak with the director)
It definitely does move into a more romantic genre, it feels like it changed from the beginning of the series.…
oh yep I'm exactly like you. For example I really really enjoyed stroy of kunning palace because it remained serious until the end and ML was truly morally grey. This guy turned from a fearsome general to a cutie patootie... Unlike his novel version where he was very rough and ever so slowly learned to be more gentle. The only reason I didn't drop this (especially during that time were it was lagging behind) was because I had put so much time into reading the novel and followed this page until the drama came out I got attached to it in a way. It has many short comings but if you are one day in the mood to see fluff... or I guess semi-fluff you should pick this back up.
I dropped this on ep 15 when was starting to turn into rom com from serious stuff and Wei Shao's character to…
It definitely does move into a more romantic genre, it feels like it changed from the beginning of the series. It's basically just a love story after the first couple of episodes but its a satisfying watch in my opinion. I don't think this is a masterpiece but its quite decent. It's a 7.5/10 for me
I can't believe this is coming to an end, I still remember the first day how excited I was this started. Though this wasn't a spectacular jaw dropping masterpiece it truly held its own and was a fun watch. It just needs to keep this going and have a HAPPY ENDING or I'll blow up or something
i can't believe how SELFISH da qiao is!!like girl you're not the only one who has a husband!!! don't you care…
like i understand her but i also hate her decision. She's pregnant and all alone and she shouldn't have to sacrifice her husband for her cousin's... but UGHHHHHHHH
Why are they moving on from scenes so fast they don't even let it marinate a bit. everything's so rushed!! Like I didn't feel anything when I watched that painting burning scene.
There is something bothering me, which is Does Manman loves Wei Shao??? I know WS is totally gone down the lovers…
I think she likes him maybe even loves him, especially because in the couple of previous episodes she has been trying to get closer to him and giving hints. Though I feel like I haven't seen them go through enough things together to fall in love. Idk I feel like their "falling in love" was too sudden and out of nowhere. It's funny because its actually supposed to be a slow burn and the story is going forward quite slowly. A flaw I noticed for this drama is there isn't enough preparation for things they reveal/scenes that occur. its just constant telling. X happened. Y happened,...
What was that jn the last 5 mins of ep 23!!! Still recovering from it😅🤣😂
it was so sudden, I was like "oh right this guy!!" (I had forgotten him) and then he goes and does this. I haven't got to this point in the novel so I don't know if they've changed things or not (they've changed a lot of things so this can also be one of those) but that scene was wayyyy too sudden with literally no warm-up or background on anything that has been happening there so I was just left like (╹-╹)?
"XQ slept with WS so much he fell in love with her" xDDDDD
