That's a different eunuch, it's eunuch Cao Jinxian. Eunuch Sun is the nice old man who came to check the tomb when ZH meets PJH for the first time.

It's definitely more brutal than regular cdrama affair. Now I don't watch a *lot* of cdramas, but it's the first time i watched a head roll down on screen.

Honestly the masked man feels the most as Eunuch Sun, he gives an old wise guy energy and he's most probably the right hand man of the emperor, so the emperor probably uses him to keep an eye on his subjects.

He believed what the fortune teller told him, like not hardcore believe but he developed a confirmation bias based on that. He definitely didn't believe any of the other things ZH has said regarding tombs, ghosts, heavens etc.
