I just watched episode 10, and this is how it played out: ā When SUNNY was called, only two people came out (Joy and Matheus). Sunny didnāt choose either of them. Namnung didnāt come out at all. ā When TOD was called, only two people came out (Mill and Kong). Tod didnāt choose either of them. ā When TIME was called, only two people came out (Sunny and Tod). Time, unsurprisingly, chose Sunny.
That was the end.
I am happy Namnung didn't come out for Time or Sunny. She deserves better. If thereās a Season 2, I can say with confidence I wonāt bother watching.
She tried to force the ML to sleep with her and ignores him repeatedly saying No. (If the genders were switched…
āForceā is a very strong word youād be better off saying āseduce.ā Did she tie him up? Iām starting to think some people are overly prejudiced. I have seen reverse situations where it gets much worse of how the ML's in some CDrama's treat the FL's, yet people still swoon over it. Thankfully, when the stories progress the ML treats the FL nicer.
She is too self reliant...I can understand that at the beginning of the drama, but towards the ending when ML…
You might just have to blame the poor writing in the last five or six episodes.
The ML clearly became more emotional toward the end. Yes, it was his job to investigate, solve, and decide, but he was suddenly dragged into a family he didnāt even know he had; discovering a brother while everyone around him was scheming. I fail to see how the FL made things worse. If anything, she helped resolve his family issues. His emotional exhaustion stemmed mainly from his father, not her.
And letās not forget that the ML also helped the FL deal with several issues within the Rong family.
Lastly, the FL comes from a matriarchal family, which is practically unique in their world, especially since patriarchy remains the dominant social system. This alone makes it very different from the usual Chinese dramas weāre used to. Weāve seen countless dramas where MLs treat FLs poorly/a bit bad until they eventually āchange,ā and no one questions it; red flags are painted green, or viewers look for tragic backstories to justify the MLās behaviour and explain why he did what he did.
If anything, the only thing the FL may be at fault for is not fully sharing all of her plans with the ML.
Some people are calling the FL a red flag, but Iām genuinely confused. So far, I havenāt seen any reasonable criticism; only prejudice. If the issue is communication, both the ML and FL share that flaw. Did the FL harm anyone? I think not.
Love (X) will be the death of me š¤£š¤£ Just finished watching episode 8 and they are playing with my heart š¤£š¤£ Heart is always beating...šš when TIME, SUNNY, TOD and NAMNUNG are the main focus.
Allow me to dissent. Grandma doesn't know AT ALL how the world can be brutal to the women, otherwise she wouldn't…
Youāre overthinking this, as if you can read the grandmotherās mind. Youāve heard one story and decided you fully understand her trauma and what she wants for her grandchildren. Thatās not fair. I seem to have heard the RONG family has/had several grandfathers and they let them go If I am not mistaken (I wonder what happened).
The grandmother gave the FL a choice. She knows all kinds of men with different personalities will appear in the FLās/RONG's sisters lives. Did she force her to choose Mr. Yan or anyone else? No. She simply wanted the FL to marry, because remaining unmarried forever is not realistic in that era. The grandmother is far from perfect, but she has done well so far in her role. Frankly, imagine how unbearable it would be if she were written as constantly irritating or unreasonable. She has managed to hold power until now and protect the RONG family, the only matrilocal family shown in the drama. Do people really think itās easy to stand against officials or prestigious clans? Can anyone just do that without consequences or political influence trying to topple their power?
The RONG familyās affairs are largely in the FLās hands. The grandmother only intervenes in extreme cases that require her authority. Power struggles within families, especially over inheritance or leadership, are nothing new in C-dramas or in history.
That said, I do agree there was poor writing in episode one. The abduction of the women, including the FL, and the grandmother showing no concern made no sense at all, especially considering the FL is effectively the head of the RONG family.
Back to the grandmother. She is elderly and has lived through countless hardships. She has every right to educate her children based on experience. In ancient times, people were framed, killed, or worse, even raped, because of naivety. Thankfully, one of the RONG sisters (FML) is intelligent enough to survive. The RONG family has been prestigious for years, which naturally means many enemies. Outside a matrilocal system, plenty of men still cling to patriarchy. Look at Mr. Yang, someone forceful, controlling, and arrogant. You can easily imagine how the family would have been destroyed if someone like him had married In.
As for the ML, yes, heās a good match, but he also has many enemies. We know this as the audience, but he hasnāt been fully honest and has been acting secretive. That lack of transparency can easily cause problems and give villains opportunities to interfere. The RONG family knows nothing about his background, so if accusations or suspicions arise against the ML, they are justified in questioning or challenging him until the FL explains everything. And honestly, does she even know everything about him?
LOL fr. I was like "no Time why" but at the same time I was thinking "yes Time, you're pushing them…
I am still worried though. SUNNY is currently having conflicting feelings for both TIME & NAMNUNG. Also, we have yet to see a bathtub scene with TIME & SUNNY. We have three (3) more episodes left. The final choice now depends on SUNNY.
I am scared to watch the rest of the episodes. I am thinking of watching after all episodes have been released. I don't want to have a heart attack every week.
idk where to discuss the new eps but im on ep 13 and im wondering does Tod actually like Time or is just the editing…
TOD definitely likes TIME & NAMNUNG. Not sure who the 3rd person is. But, TIME isn't exactly giving him green light, which sucks for him. Worst part is NAMNUNG doesn't like him other than as friends. NAMNUNG now only likes SUNNY.

I will for sure re-watch as many times as I can.

So calm down.
That makes sense. I am so bored right now. I think I will start today.
Not necessarily a bathtub scene but in a pool. Not sure I have seen this from previous episodes - https://imgur.com/a/WnWL5Va
