Actually Eastern European culture especially if the family is rich and plans every step for the child is very similar to break free from and gain freedom. In that sense it’s understandable though not necessarily relatable especially with a mom that goes as far as trying to physically harm an innocent person to get him out of her daughter’s life. There’s overbearing parenting and then there’s that.

I'm not here just for romance; I love battle scenes probably the most. But palace stuff especially when it's stuff like that, makes me cringe away from a good show.

I’m just worried that the palace politics of the last 10 episodes will just decimate the story and it’s been really really good up until the palace arc.
