I remember when they filmed this drama and how much work went into those fire rescue etc scenes; now we’re seeing all of it pay off. I personally wanted to watch for YY as a firefighter but also because I like first responder dramas and docuseries as long as they’re portrayed some version of accurately. Ppl shouldn’t compare this with A Date w/the Future as that was more a rom-com with a solid FL and different script. Someone below called it a melodrama and I guess that’s accurate. We’ve gotten to episode 12 and the pace is nice; I don’t know how closely to the novel it will follow (also not a novel reader, so will occasionally ask questions of those that are) other then ffw-ing the wicked witch of the west, I do like it.
Thinking about it...Song Yan is perfect for Xu Qin because he's a selfless person and he needs the feeling of…
You are right. But I think they still both need to grow in their own ways to fit the mold for each other. Especially FL in growing her strength of independence.
We’ve got 40 episodes, so just enjoy the plot and the first responders and everything they do and forget about romance until we’re at least halfway through lol.
I keep wanting to hit my head against the wall with all the people not seeing JR for who she really is. Especially the younger brother; and I guess since she’s got a main role, she won’t be leaving until the end. And anyone else ready for the demons to start actually losing and the good guys to start winning?
Yep. The last bit is Fan Yu as emperor and how that gets dealt with.
He failed before even trying. But his father seemed to be saying that the general was emperor; because Junior got hella pissed off and the previews show him in the emperors seat and Luo visiting him. So he’s gonna do some damage I feel.
Guess they'll keep this cauldron churning until the very end; with 4 episodes left they should be wrapping it up but by the looks of the next previews, more issues will happen.
