It’ll be two for me as well. I will be watching love beyond the grave, but thankfully that’s starting on Saturday so a little bit of a break and that one has 40 episodes too, but at least that is fantasy and ghosts and all that cool stuff. I don’t know if the storyline will hold up but at least it’s got awesome looking CGI and costumes and things.
I think they didn’t cast the right actor for the role. This actor usually plays some goofy shop owner or a eunuch himself. I have never seen him in like even a puppet leader role.
They’ve turned him into a guest roll, basically.
I really honestly don’t know, but in what he has said himself was that this was his first time playing a general and that’s why the role appealed to him. But I don’t think he took into account everything else like just because he plays a general does he actually get the time to be a general and when they film does the director understand that he needs to show the ML as a general and not just film a lot but then cut everything. So it’s pretty tricky with scripts. You can love the character. You can love who he is and what he does, but there’s a lot that he needs to still work out with the director and producer. Especially if he’s picking up something that could possibly be a female centric script where they have no point or want in making his character something other than a sidekick or a guest roll.
Merge or invent characters..but good thing they make it “nicer”than novel to pass censorship?
Yeah, I agree in that show as well. I mean they made him a mop and he gave both ML and FL Screen Time to nut sack who was the SML. I understand he wants to play different characters, but he really needs to pay attention to what type of scripts they are and what they entail not just oh this is a different character that I haven’t played.

I agree it will the one he’s filming now is also a completely different character for him where as he explained it in an interview, he goes from rags to riches and becomes some kind of powerful general also and there’s a lot of scenes of him actually fighting so I hope that remains and I’m interested to see this kind of new character from him. Basically going from Robin Hood to king of an empire or something.
I wish that they could have cut down some in this episode and given that time to 29-30(I think those were the…
This is the final arc where everyone goes all in and we know the villains are going to do it. But in this episode, they definitely could’ve used a lot of of it to not show the pathetic emperor and like you said, use it on other episodes and gave ML more fighting scenes.
