I don’t think she’s asked him about it either yet and then grandma I guess tells her the whole story of why he left school and what happened with the knife and the scar on his back and all of that other stuff. But he himself has to get himself ready and go to school again. Maybe it’ll take a few episodes, but I do hope that it will happen at least at the halfway mark for this series.

Yeah, he does and he runs with her and he’s got the same class with her so at some point he does return, but the question is when. I think she takes it upon herself to push him to return.

But it’s not ambiguous if it’s been already repeated about seven times in as many episodes that they are not blood related, even in the first one, it was made clear that his mother and her mother were just friends and his mother lived with them for a bit. People just need to pay attention to the dialogue is all. If they were real cousins, it would’ve come out a long time ago, even probably in the synopsis. I mean, even the cringy third wheel guy knows about it.

Plus his excuse is that he likes her but considered whether she feels the same way or would even want that. So we know she won’t leave. I hope he does though.
